deadlyshot 25
another day out with the ferrets took my terrier but that was not a great idea well it was and wasn't hard work I must say. if she wasn't trying to kill the ferrets or just whines all the time coz I've tied her up but then it's good to have her as when a rabbit gets caught I let her finish it of but anyway back from the day out with 3 rabbits not bad for my second ever time Got a question anyone got any tips on keeping my nets untangled while out. The one 8,593
Aye or wrap them round your hand then wrap the drawcord round the net ,try doing that with a cheap shop bought net you wont have enough drawcord Quote Link to post
Col_c88 41
should really break your terrier to your ferrets in your own home mate ,, after a decent walk at first so s/he is a bit tired, the reason behind doing it in your own home is less distractions... i know my patterdale would never of managed in a field.. had to do it in the garden where he knows.. didnt take long at all with him.. once he stopped trying to get at the ferrets took him out and kept hold of him when a ferret came out but let go when a rabbit came out.. he sharply got the idea, treats them like puppies now. as for nets, if im not walking far to the next set i pick them up and hang them over my neck, once im done with them i kind of fold them a few times then rap the cord around them.
