So whereas I'd normally buy a size 6 in wellies, I found the Meindl 5 1/2 (my foot size) was perfect, with normal sports socks: not mega thick wellie socks, but you wouldn't need wellie thick socks in a Meindl boot anyway as they are so well shaped and insulated. I guess when they make walking/hunting boots they allow for the fact that you would be wearing slightly thicker socks than in normal town shoes. Quote Link to post
