Ideation 8,217
Took the dog out for a couple of hours after work and decided to take a jill and some nets as usual. Went for a walk in some woodland, not much about to start, but then went over a fence and almost jumped on top of the dog who jumped over, only to stop and mark a hole at the base of a tree (that the fence was nailed to). Found a couple more holes on the fence line, and dropped the jill in, quiet for a bit then banging and the first rabbit bolts into a net. Quiet for a bit more then squealing by the tree, coming from a small half hole i hadn't noticed, cleared it out and grabbed what i thought was bunny, but was the jill, who looked pissed off and shot back down, stuck a net on the half hole, and then couple of mins later the second bunny bolts into another net, minus one eye, with the jill on it's arse. Walked on for a bit and got some more marks, but in spots i couldn't be arsed to do on my own with the cover up. Then had a nice mark on a six hole set under some brambles and a fallen branch, but not too bad. Netted up and dropped the jill in, bit of banging and the rabbit starts to creep out, sees my foot (sloppy!) and turns to go back down, then a loud squeeling as it meets the jill head on and she stops it in it's tracks with a nose hold (i fecking love that ferret), so no dig to that one, just reach in and pull out bunny with ferret attached to it's face. Very impressed the small jill has stopped a rabbit more than twice her body weight head on. Jill scuttles back down, runs about for ages and then get a solid mark, couple of feet down, unfortunately only a little un. Bit further on, dog starts getting keen, following a scent line, right into a nice two holer, net up, ferret in, goes very deep, i leave the ferret and dog to it and go sit down, rabbit bolts, dog holds it well until i get off my arse, despite having a ferret climbing on him. Walk home. A nice two hours out. Atb. The one stopped by the nose hold. 1 Quote Link to post

Ideation 8,217
Cheers guys! Getting at them slowly now. Fieldsportsman - i'm lucky i guess (in some senses) because i can walk out onto land i can hunt. I do work, but my missus lives in Germany at the moment so it's just me and the dog in the house, i have very few friends, just the ones i go hunting with, i don't go out, go to the pub, or socialize, or drink, i don't watch t.v, and i don't have any other hobbies other than hunting and fishing. So pretty much it's work, then home and out with dog/ferrets, then back, eat, on here, read a book, sleep and repeat, and weekends hunting both days. At the moment i'm making the most of the light evenings! Quote Link to post

FSM - no mate, i know you didn't, it's just kind of funny, i really don't have much of a life these days, outside of spending time with my ferrets and dogs and my missus when she is about.
