bird 10,014
going back 2 the dragging bit ray ,i,ve had 2 change collers from a strongstuff 1 to a leather 1 when out working has he makes a right gargilin noise with the strongstuff 1 like its choking him ,i hopeing i can run it out of him this season ,he had some good backs in a night and he calms a down a bit ,but when another running he still doing backflips at 18 month lol yes its the same with any dog , most wont some of the action when they see another dog run in the lamp.As Tod his just starting out, he really keen to get in there, and i dont want to really curb is drive by hitting when he pulls. As he only does it if he his after quarry, as he walks great on the lead when not hunting. But as (born to run) said he as that much feckin power he will pull you through a brick wall to get at it, and james is a strong fit lad, it dont matter who is holding the lead he is very full on. But ive started to come down on him a just bit, so you can control him that bit better Quote Link to post

bunnys 1,236
It would have to be without quarry around mate and I believe every word from what bird said on the phone he is as ( born to run ) said Tod he is very full on, and he really very strong fecker he so switched on its hard to hold him back when he sees somthing. Ive had 2 bullxgreys before and he is nothing like the other 2, the bull in him is very strong in him . He really is a hand full for a young dog, he is like a pure bitch that i had, very daft with people great temp but got that full on drive in her just like Tod as got now . like this these bunnies will be good practise for hm ,atb bunnys Quote Link to post
NEWKID 29,103
Well done ray and tod, coming on well . I had the "pleasure" of walking my mates bull cross last night for a bit, he is one strong dog and is constant on the lead, He had a few rabs last night and although he is definately a lump he can move and turn well, not what you would call a rabbiting dog but he does well enough for sure. Guest born to run1083
id be ashamed to admit that my dog takes me for a walk, its a dog not a horse. I'm not ashamed at all I'm not the strongest of guys but I can bench 125kg and curl 60kg so I'm sure not the weakest of men. I think it just displays just how strong he is, don't think ray will mind me saying, Its only when your walking him up on something and he's already spotted it that he pulls but I'd expect any pup to do the same? most lurchers go tight on the slip when they spot there quarry it gives you the signal that there ready when you are to be slipped.
