im not saying i'd vote for them lol.

100,000 would be the bare minimum who would vote for them,I think they would get a lot more than that.

they limit themselves with the 'English' could of scrounged more votes from scotland, wales and northern Ireland if it was British defence league, maybe they'll all unite and do that when they start to expand.

I think they may become a political party eventually,if so they've gone about it in a clever way by getting the support of a previously untapped group of potential voters.

it could well happen here imo   if you repress people, violate their right to protest and freedom of expression what else is there you can do besides get violent?     hopefully if it does happen h

They already have made connections Defence leagues in every home country, with the same old faces Ex Bnp/ Front etc.. be better helping the youth of the country to get on,rather than acting as a side

I could never take a group seriously who carry on like those louts. As an immigrant I actually oppose mass immigration, and the rights of some people to cover their heads, ignore this country's laws,

they'd get a lot of votes imo.

look at the amount of people on their demos, all of them and many more would vote.

A lot of votes..........they've got no structure,no real mandates....they've got 100,000 members ffs theres more muslims on some housing estates than in there group.

imo they are very well organised when you look at the members.

If they do become a political party they need more than just being "anti-muslim" to get taken seriously imo.

The BNP are a structured party that have changed there image over the last few years but where as it got them?

they wouldnt get my vote..... it good that edl do something about what they belive in but when 1000 protesters turn up in your town chantting edl.edl.edl.edl while drinking there strong bow from cans it only agrovates the pakis. when every body has got on the train and gone home it leaves an angry muslim community. you just know some white chaps getting a undeserved kicking when he leaves the pub drunk..

the thing is he probably was nothing to do with the march. i hope never to be that man

"previously untapped group of potential voters".

blan thatcher used the same "untapped" group in the 80s.thing was,she was a tad more clever in the way she "used"them.

my point was if the edl went straight into politics they would at best be a very small fringe party, more likely they would disbanded.

if they did now they would get a lot of votes,if they wait another 5 years, grow considerably and merge with the welsh and scottish divisions they would imo be bigger than the BNP,UKIP and the green party for example.

Not claiming to be an expert or anything, but I can see a tiny flaw in any plan to get the support of the Ulster voter ..........

"Tommy Robinson" is actually called Stephen Lennon, can't see too many loyalists going for that one to be honest.

Are criminals allowed to run in elections anyway? Serious question, I mean I know we know the majority of MP's are crooks, but did they have to have a clean record before they got the job?

Another small problem if they did.

Talk about tying your flag to the wrong mast!

He's out for himself, nothing unusual in that, but he's not honest about it, and that's wrong.

But nobody seems able to have an intelligent argument about it all without obvious disdain. I simply do NOT agree with sweeping statements about people and I cannot take a person seriously when they use derogatory statements and treat the majority like the bad minority. I also have a problem with people who point at "dirty p@akis" and blame them for this country's current state, but who turn a blind eye to native Brits who are worse. Couple that with the hooligan behaviour and what should be a logical argument goes flying out the window.

It's a losing battle, sadly, and they do it to themselves.

If they were political i dont think any Edl supporter would look that deep into who they were supporting, they'd just shout E...E...EDL really loudly while drinking Asda value cider.

but yeah maybe not the N.I ones.

As an immigrant...

I wouldn't class you as an immigrant, as a Canadian you're an emigrant in my eyes - You were already one of our own.

PS. That's just the way I look at it, same as the Aussies & the Kiwis..

for someone who used to run the terraces i think Stephen Lennon put him self across very well and pulling out a quote that media 'forgot' about was pure class.

i was all for the EDL as they are being heard but they need someone with a bit of clout behind them to get there message across .

that interview was a classic example of what the media 'want' you to hear.

Spot on......They showed an EDL march on the tele the other night when reporting about the shootings in Norway, it was embarrasing to say the least.

I am English and I have to tell you, the last people I want representing/defending me is any of those bunch of f*****g morons.

Norway gets someone who looks like a professor, we get 100,000 chav wannabes.....makes you proud to be English dont it!
