Resident's Rights

No Undi I surely don't think they could make it up. I do think, tho, that given his age and the need to be careful with it all, they released him into his family's care until they have their shit together. I just hope they've got what they need to lock him up.

If they do move here, as much as it pains me because I love where I live, I would pack up and leave. I could not cope with the constant fear I'd have - or the feral anger I feel at the very idea of that child touching my kids.

You should not let it get to you moving, kick up one hell of a stink, it's your home and you should feel safe for your kids where you are.

Surely if the police thought there was even the slightest chance he had done something he would have been charged and remanded in borstal or whatever it's called these days. Nothing to do with human r

I'm not saying they made it up Jen but it's a very emotive subject and difficult for parents to deal with especially were kids are involved. Do people seriously believe a 10yr old kid is gonna go on the rampage. There's lots of things we don't know about what happened. Bottom line is they're gonna have to put them somewhere all you can do is be vigilant if the family have any sense they will keep him in anyway.

Sex offenders dont exactly live under rocks or in caves, there are thousands out there in society and there are more released on a daily basis from prison into every area in Britain, you might get to hear of one now and then in the area, but there will be hundreds more you dont hear of living near you......that is why i would never even for a second let my granddaughter out of my sight when she is with me,you just never know who's in the area in todays sick society!!

Do you have a local resident's association? If not, organise one and approach your local MP and media.

I'm not sure if we do LF, but I plan on approaching the local MP about it. She only lives up the road.

I realise these people have to go somewhere, but I can't see the logic of placing someone like that in an area like this - woodland, parks, and plenty of kids.

Personally I'd rather see them swinging from a tree by their neck, but you can't have everything I guess.

It seems that it is 'guilty until proven innocent' these days.

Look at the paper recently, the nurse that has been accused. That guy that was arrested that owned the flats which the girl that was strangled lived, he was hung, drawn and quartered by the media.

Why worry, keep an eye on your children, what were 4 year olds doing in woodland without a parent?

They were in their garden and he apparently lured them out. My kids have always been told that they should never go with anyone they don't know - that includes other kids. You like to think they can play safely in their own garden but I guess not.

And in this case it's hard not to assume guilty until proven otherwise.

:o Surely you aren't wishing that on a 10 year old missus??

It is disturbing what has happened.

But you're an attentive parent, to the point of fastidious. You have good kids and they are taught good lessons and morals. Have a little faith in yourself, and them. Be cautious and protective and level headed as always.
