Malt 379
Dogs have got some funny ways, fair play! If one of mine is lying in the most comfortable place it can, it'll still get up and nick the other one's space if the other one moves first!

My little terrier thinks she's above my lurcher & he tolerates her for the most part. He'll stand by while she eats from his bowl, lets her take his sleeping place, etc. You give them a ball to chase and that order flies out the window though! She just stands off and lets him do all the chasing then, knows better than to push her luck!
Neal 1,930
...which reminds me of when one of my ferrets went missing. I used to have a walled in garden, so when I cleaned out the court at the end of the garden I'd put down some food on the drain cover at the other end of the garden and run like mad down to their court and close the door before they got a chance to get back in so I could clean it out in peace (one of them had a thing about attacking the poop scoop I used). One day, when I'd finished cleaning, I put back two of the hobs but couldn't find the third...then I noticed the lurcher standing by the door of his run looking sheepish. When I looked in the kennel I found the kelpie pup and the missing ferret curled up together fast asleep.
