Why not???? A hare in a big open field on the lamp against a lamping dog as the same chance off getting always when getting chased by a coursing dog during the day and are fare game in my eyes. Dont

he didnt say lamping might of been summer night.and what does it concern others if people lamp hares anyway?the bullet gun lads do the damage shooting them from gateways all year around.many a LAMPED

Sounds a good cross to run 10 rabbits with.

It wouldnt suite my needs as a lamper I dont think, Id be affraid a dog with that much whippet and greyhoud would be too much of a burner.

But iv no expereince in them so I could be wrong.

i can honestly say my little bitch had plenty of wind and has run on lots of different types of ground.

what type of dogs do you run?

saluki lurchers 23 - 24 tts my current younger bitch came from my proven day time hare bitch. I breed a litter out of her. when the pups were 12 months old one of the dog pups accedentlie covered its mother. :doh:

 

I kept a bitch pup from this mating. she self marked while excersising so I tried her a ferreting and she marks 100% works long nets and would match many a purpose breed x at lamping rabbits. as I say she suites my needs.

my bitch is 1/2 whippet 1/4 collie 1/4 greyhound ,shes a cracking dog ,turns on a tanner ,hunts up in cover lke a demon ,marks like a good un,shes got stamina and bags ov it ,can lamp her hard all night and she still drags you back to car ,iv never had a dog so game she has a real evil streak when the quarry fights back a bit no matter what it is ,shes got good feet can jump for fun the only draw back is shes seven now and won't last for ever ..

sounds good do you live in baldock? i used to live there and my brother lives in arlesy some good rabbiting around those parts.
