Just don't let it get full of muck, and keep on the lead until it is healed: If you let the dog run on it and it is fairly deep it will keep opening up. Depending on how deep it is cut pads generally take about 3 weeks to heal.

Keep it clean ...I normaly dress these wounds ...wht I will say if after a few weeks you think it is healed ...give it another week at least just to make sure as it does nt take much to open them back up

salt water and time  everything thats kept clean will heel with time. Real deep cuts and gashes will heel from the insideout any cut that scabs keep an eye on for infection, first sign, soak the scab off clean and start again.:toast:

salt water and keep clean, when my bitch split hers i used this skin glue stuff from chemists and that worked fine, she took some of the pad off before and all i did with that was cleaned it, bit savlon, and when excersising, i would put a childs sock over it to keep dirt out of it. its gonna be tender imagine picking the skin off of a blister?
