marko 30
just salt water will help if its a bit of pad missing try cut and heal and keep the dog off it for a few days depending how bad it is may be a wk to ten days. Quote Link to post
Dan Edwards 1,134
I'd squirt some 7% iodine in there once and then salt water it in the evening if ya got time but a cut pad is nothin to worry about at all. It's a long ass ways from their heart. Quote Link to post
skycat 6,174
Just don't let it get full of muck, and keep on the lead until it is healed: If you let the dog run on it and it is fairly deep it will keep opening up. Depending on how deep it is cut pads generally take about 3 weeks to heal. Quote Link to post
MOO 730
Keep it clean ...I normaly dress these wounds ...wht I will say if after a few weeks you think it is healed ...give it another week at least just to make sure as it does nt take much to open them back up Quote Link to post

RossM 8,149
salt water and keep clean, when my bitch split hers i used this skin glue stuff from chemists and that worked fine, she took some of the pad off before and all i did with that was cleaned it, bit savlon, and when excersising, i would put a childs sock over it to keep dirt out of it. its gonna be tender imagine picking the skin off of a blister?
