pure bull facts

Recommended Posts

Most scary thing i see, is 16/17 year old kids with pit or pit x pups, or big am/bull pups, and they don't train them at all, just want them to appear hard and scary, and then all of a sudden the pup has grown and they have a beast like a weapon, that they cannot control, that's dragging them about like a rag doll.

Blame the person who bred it , Ive bred bull breeds for years and it always takes me time o sell what pups are left as i wont sell to people i dont think will look after the dog properly i also leave the door open for return of a dog within 18months if person changes there mind

Liam, You speak alot of sense. I'll tell you who i blame, the greedy men who first started selling PB's to the general public to make money. If they had have been kept within a tight working circle

Any dog that I have met from known fighting lines has been absolutely solid with people and children, same with boar hunting pits and pit crosses, the white dog in my pics was extremely dog and animal aggressive yet amazingly gentle and mellow with my son and any child she ever came across. I trusted her 100% with my kid.

Yup, that's exactly who i blame. Just like anything else that can seriously f**k folk / stuff up, it's a responsibility, and shouldn't be taken or handed out lightly.

Sometimes they call me to work with my APBTs on wild boar.

But we can only work them on places where are no tourists or walker. If somebody see us working with APBTs he call the police and tell them that we set bad fighting dogs on poor wild boars.

It's a shame that this beautiful breed has such a bad reputation.

I was bitten by many dogs in my life, but never by a APBT.

you sure those are apbt's they look more like staffys?

I haven't the pedigree of the 2 females and they are not ADBA registered, but I know that their ancestors has worked very well.

I have got them from gypsies who matched their ancestors.

There was only 1 AmStaff from X-Pert in the 4th generation of the older one.

The issue is with the people that keep these dogs not with the dogs themselves.... TOO MANY OF THE WRONG PEOPLE OWN THESE DOGS! (imo)

Anything with teeth can bite. What ruined this breed was the downfall of any breed of dog....mans greed for money. On top of the idiots willing to sell dogs to anyone with the money...the media make the breed more attractive to arseholes and write bollocks stories of animal abuse and people think thats how to treat the dogs. People should keep ego and greed away from dogs but its not going to happen saddly.

The bottom line is, there are people in the world who are pricks and very aggressive and its also the same in the dog world. Its not always the owners fault, some dogs are just nasty.

Always the humans fault somewhere down the line if people minded what they bred and where the pups went none of this shit about aggressive dogs would exist pitt got popular for the look even breeders didnt know what they had especially UK and IRELAND and now yhe dog gets put down and a bad name, watch what will happen with Akitas in the near future half the owners think they have a cute husky

Liam, You speak alot of sense. :notworthy:

I'll tell you who i blame, the greedy men who first started selling PB's to the general public to make money. If they had have been kept within a tight working circle of like-minded boys then there would have never been any problems and no children would have been attatcked. As it happens, some w@nkers sold pups to any Chav that came along and the rest, as they say, is history. You cannot blame the dogs, it is man that is to blame. JMO....JD

Agree there JD ,all pitbull attacks were done by pets none by dogs that were kept by dogmen--watching thosae idiotic pet rescue u.s,a t.v programmes youd think the opposite was true

I agree completely with that and I would never leave my little girl alone with my dogs or anyone elses. My terrier would bite most adults if they messed with him and he weren't in the mood but the only thing on earth he's gentle with is my kid and I still wouldn't leave them together.

hi lads

Was just wondering if the pure bull was a vicious as the press and general public make out ,are they over hyped, untrustworthy vicious or loyal will they always have to be watched with children or protect them It has often made me think because i have read that the bull is a loyal companion and very protective over small children ,but having said that if you mention the word pitbull to any one the look at you with horror.

i look forwardv to hearing from you all

happy hunting

from my experiance nearly all staffordshire bull terriers are spot on with kids and people, as a whole the stafford can take the rough and tumble of family life with ease, however there are one or two which may have had a bad start in life that can be nervous.

there is nothing as dangerous as a nervous example of a any breed with such high drive and bite force, even a warning can result in a very bad injury!

with respect to pit bull terriers, if they are bred from "working lines" you need to do your homework very very carfuly as some lines do carry the potential to be a "little sharp", and dispite all the bollox about only breeding from lines that can be handled therefore the dogs are bomb proof, people breed for money and winners and temprement can come second to this.

the thing is with both the above pure breeds you know what your going to get, do your home work and only get one from kid frendly lines that have been socialised correctly and not just kept in a kennel for 8 weeks and you should be ok,

in my very humble opinon the bigest issue we now have is all the cross breed muts out there that have a mixture of guardian / mastif breeds plus pit or lively stafford, these can be the risk, as you cannot have any way of anticipating the nature or out come.

then these dogs are going to ever younger owners who think big is best and anything that shows "spirit" is top of the tree!

To be honest I am wrighting this as I have just had my two nephews (5 and 9)visit and they were pulling my poor 12 year old staff all over the place and he did not bat an eyelid,, however the tried to pat my 8 month old saluki cross and he made it very clear he was not over happy,,

as has been said time and time again, all dogs have teeth, teeth are sharp, do not leave any thing of value with any thing sharp without our supervision!

the key to any of this is responsible breeders that know what and why they are breeding and try their best to ensure the dogs go to the correct homes!

all the best rob,
