skycat 6,174
You can see that he still has no adult muscles, and shouldn't do until his skeleton has finished growing. That won't happen until he's a year old, at least. Then he has to build the muscle. I had a fairly short coupled dog similar to yours many years ago. He was still slow at 15 months, then gradually his speed increased and by the time he was 2 years old he was fairly flying. Give him time, and not too much fast galloping until he's mature. Qbgrey 4,386
some dogs show no interest in running until they older ,more so the heavy set bullxs i had a 40kg bullx that didnt run as a pup showed no interest, had the turning circle of a container truck ,but he turned out to be a superb dog.feed it decent grub and keep it excersised not run the f..k out of it and wait till its mature before testing it to the limit. moonlighter 1,165
i carnt see that been fast enough for much myself, but it depends what you want to use it for..to be fare the lurchers i keep are totally different to yours, but by 8 months all of mine have been running flat out both dogs and bitchs, even the 1/4 bull i had.
