how can i stop the tip of my lurchers tail bleeding

tryed everything,vets says tail has got to come off, the cut on the tip is about as big as a five pence and ideas please

hI you can put a hair curler over the end you would need to tape it on. when the dog is in his kennel or pen they stand facing the door if your door is to one side ie not in the middle then you will never stop it as he will keep hitting side of his pen with his tail has to be able to wag his tail without hiting the wall with it when hes stood at the kennell door

piece of hose pipe and tape around,buy some bleed stop from greyhound supplier,then dip into hydrogyn peroxide,or flowers of sulphur if you can get it,my way only

I gaffer taped a bit of foam insulation pipe to my bitches tail. Is it possible to post a pic of your dogs wound so we can see how serious it is/is there any dead tissue or anything that may lead your vet to the conclution of having to remove the end of the tail

had this problem with 2 different dogs when i raced greyhounds both had to have the tip of there tails taken off.

Lads if you read my previous post its the cause of the bleeding tail you have to deal with if you do this it will clear up if hes whacking it on side of kennell and you cant move him to bigger one put carpet at side so his tail hits this insted of wall
