Ideation 8,216
Just wondering, some of my faves include, a hole six foot up a tree, silage bales (from the centre of a bale), sections of drain pipe, drains, turf roofs, under sheds, inside green houses, pheasant feeders, half way up stone walls, holes half way up a castle wall. . .. . . .. . . . JoeD 24
A hare jumped through a hedge about a foot up from the ground, still convinced it was hiding actually in the hedge and not on the ground. Also a pheasant bolted from a rabbit hole while setting nets. Joe Quote Link to post

The lurcher's picked a rabbit out a yew tree in a graveyard twice and theres no branches till three foot off the ground Quote Link to post
oyama 27
Under a small chapel,as congregation kept hearing thudding rabbits during prayers. So Ferrets ,nets and dog were needed to be called in.We had 11 in total I think. We also were called in to a special school garden, after they had put rabbit fencing up to keep um out.Not realizing at the time that the rabbits were living under the sheds. Bolt 0
Well i dont know how to put this one but i couldnt take any pictures i went other day (i know with seasons etc. but farmer rung me to just pop down so hey i cant say no to a few holes keeping some sprt for next season anways back to subject) we bolted a rabbit nets slipped and it managed to escape and ran into a hole under a tree. so what do we do.hands in to see what we can feel and nothing (could go all round base of this tree) stuck the hob down and tried to flush him out. hob comes out and no rabbit but you can guess what hes done, yup killed) so hands in again. and we actually found the rabbit about 1-2 feet up inside the tree. never come across that... and then had the usual done drain pipes (actually had that problem at work and the rabbits couldnt get out (facings a 90 degree bend upwards for the soil pipe and also had a few from under portable cabins not the best to net but when you hear them ready to bolt sounds like some one is running around inside the cabin. been a pretty funny season tbh looking forward to next the tree was deffinetly a first though Quote Link to post
NEWKID 28,136
As a kid used to do a small barn full of hay put long nets around it and sent the ferrets in had a few ( the old lurcher used to stand on top of the hay and watch the nets), caught a badly mixied one on a site we were working on ( it was in abad way and could hardly run) got some funny looks when I ran over and grabbed it and necked it, had one out of a stone wall last year just removed the stones and took it off the ferret.
