Free to good home

Recommended Posts

Might be a long shot but thought I'd try on here to find a home for my brothers miniture jack russel. He's 2 1/2 years old, neutured and black and white. Bad points are does not like kids and can be funny with other dogs in a confined space. Ok with other dogs in the field. Never really been worked but got a hell of a spirit in him. Would make an excellent little ratting or set dog for someone who's got time and more importantly pateience to put into him. Reason for getting rid is because me brother works away through the week and their lass works full time and is expecting their first child and the dog stays with the mother in law through the day but he bit her today. I'm trying to give him another chance to be rehomed otherwise he'll be going to the vets on saturday when me brother gets back from work. Any questions either PM or ring me on 07870732487.post-42699-0-06220700-1290024632_thumb.jpg

Good honest post and fair play for trying to give the dog a chance, but if it was my dog it would have been straight to the vets asap...

Agree with you mate but thought i'd give it a try as no-one really wants to see that happen to any dog.

Hi mate,

think you'd be better off charging something for him as too many on here and other sites would only take advantage and maybe try to sell him on....

he's a lovely looking thing

good luck i hope he gets a good home...

Snap.

not the best place to rehome a shy biter. it sounds hard but sometimes a trip to the vets is better for the dog than rehoming it  if your fond of the dog you should think of what will happen to it if it tries to bite in its new home/s. sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind. good luck in whatever you decide

Sounds more like a problem with the people looking after it rather than the dog being at fault! being passed back and forth everyday won't help.

That dog wouldn't take much to make a decent ratter by the sound of it with some basic socialisation with other dogs.

Bet it only nipped not bit. NO NEED TO KILL IT! FFS take it to the dogs trust instead, it's not gonna breed so wheres the harm giving it a chance with a home that actually has the time for it.

Dig a hole for the f****r. Bad with kids in my book is a big NO NO.

Steve

my dad got a jack russel that was the same from the RSPCA (ye i know what a joke) it bit everyone in the family at one time or another but with work it became a really good dog and still catches rats now from time to time at 12 years old. Is good with kids now in general although never trusted for obvious reasons. So i say if someones prepared to put the time in and comes forward before the weekend then good luck to them.
