Something not quite right.....

How do folks....

well me n wor kid ventured out again last night but decided to stay local, well when I say local it's a coastal permission 10 min drive from my house and a 35 min drive for wor kid!

Anyway....he picked me up at midnight and we headed off, got to the ground for 0015hrs, quick check of zero and yet again wor kid found his to be off by about an inch again. These are the scopes he received off a kid after donating to H4H (Help For Heroes).

So....zero reset we both headed off.....

After about 10-15mins I was starting to get worried....... I hadn't seen 1 rabbit.....THe place is normally crawling with them!

Ok...so me n wor kid have shot quite a few lately, but not that many as to wipe them out :hmm: :hmm:

Then, bringing the lamp round slowly I saw my first intended target, about 35m away..... I gave it a bit more holdover than normal as the ground here can be very deceiving and the telltale crack of the impacting pellet said it all.....One down :gunsmilie:

I saw nothing more for another 30mins then just caught a glimpse of a bead hiding in the Marram grass, as I stalked closer the bead disappeared and reappeared a number of times. I managed to get within zero range and placed the crosshairs on the bead itself, still partially obscured by the grass. I gave a small mouth squeak and the rabbit shot bolt upright looking/listening for the danger, what it didnt hear was the 16gr FX pellet( Ive swapped to FX as the last tin of AA Field were flying all over like a shotgun :nono: ) whistling towards it at over 500fps giving an almighty snap as it hit home. That was number 2.

Then nothing more for over an hour..... So much so that when I sent wor kid a message saying I was heading back to the pickup for a cuppa, he had already been there for over half an hour! :icon_redface:

So we decided to head inland and to another permission wheree we were only there for an hour as wor kid was having trouble with his scopes again and I only got one more....so total for the night was 3 to me and 0 to wor kid due to his scope troubles

You seem to be getting on really well with the HW now mate.

Sorry to hear about the scope playing up Gary bud.

Once your scope starts to let you down its time to get another one mate

You had a look at the new Hawke High Definition (HD) Sport 4-12x50 AO IR mate?

Ive just ordered 2 myself, 1 for my new Ultra and 1 for Tonys new Ultra.

Ive done quite a bit of research into them and seen some reviews and they seem awesome pal.
