Born Hunter 17,843
Sounds like raccoons to me. Not unless they came via Virgin airlines matey, we don't have a population of raccoons over here. Could be mink but more then likely otter, we had a koi breeder here in the Lincolnshire wolds, the otter decimated the koi pond until they installed an electric fence around the pond 6 inches of the floor......... I saw a bloke walking one on a lead down by the Trent near Notts a few months back. Not wild obviously but i could hardly beleive my bloody eyes! Quote Link to post
Midland Mole Control 0
I'd go with the otter too. I've heard of them ending up in gardens, coming along any sort of ditch, land drains, culverts or even hedgerows. If there's cover then they'll use it to get to where they're going! Otters are back on the Trent, a friend saw one whilst kayaking and I took some photos of well defined prints and rudder in the snow in the forest a couple of miles from the Trent a few years ago, then on a lamping session last year saw an otter in a dyke a mile from the Trent.......
