s horsfield 7
i've got a jill and she goes for the bit of skin in between my thumb and fore finger, i always try the lemon jucie . She's been like all the time i've had her ,she's about 2 now, but she never bits when working. Try giving her a treat just before you handle her, like a small bit of ice cream, just got to stick with it. The first ferret i got was off someone down the street.who never handled him and my hands where a right mess after a couple of weeks, but he soon came around and ended up be the tameist ferret i've had.stick with it. proper22 5
I've never known a 15 old kit that had a bite worth a shit, if its on its own, then its probably bored and just wants to play yeah it clamps on anddraws blood but as i said in the post i want to sort it before it gets even bigger teath/ stronger jaw also it isn't playing he plays with the two other kits (jills) in a 5ft by 10ft court its an aggressive bite not the type they do when you pick them up when they've been playing coz i agree the playful nips aint worth a shit but a proper biteby the viens on the wrist where i have to prize his jaws open with my finger by the viens on the wrist draws blood and is definatly worth a shi, and seeing as hes only young he'll do more damage when hes older. Rory4 267
hold it like albert says, no way they can bite you, their feet are in the way. every time i pick mine up, i spit on back my hand with fist closed for them to lick off. these two things work for me! Quote Link to post
