ArchieHood 3,692
..........Sorry meant Pigeons (Got me view count up din it ) I was asked to remove some feral pigeons from a couple of cubicle sheds, so I popped along for a look today.I was asked not to shoot any off the roofs as they are not easily accessible and they didn't want the gutters blocked. Not a problem I thought as I could take them where they were perched inside ,on the perlins. I induced the first one with a AA Field and he dropped to the ground, motionless his wings already folded. The other 20 took flight circled the sheds and came to rest............on the roof I rolled a fag and waited, and waited but they wouldn't return back inside.Growing impatient I clapped my hands to get them airborne again hoping they might fly inside for safety, some took off, some stayed and a few decided to look over the edge to see what was going on.I took the gamble that a good shot would send them over the edge, the gamble paid off, with none returning inside I managed to pick the nosey ones off.In 2 hours I only managed 5 but that's 5 less to clean up after. You wouldn't believe the mess these feckers can make.I will go back when time allows and take a few more. PSIts still Summer down here 1 Quote Link to post

andyfr1968 772
One way I used to cook them was to blather them with olive oil, a couple of sprigs of thyme, wrap them in foil and fast cook them on the BBQ. They lose a lot of the strong gamey taste and don't dry out. Quote Link to post
