stanwell ratters at it a gan

We have had a new bit of permission come in about a month ago when we spoke to the farmer to double check it was all ok. He told us that it was fine and we were to come down as he would have to move 3 chicken sheds in one day, so we sorted out the dogs to take with us and set off in the early hours of the morning and we all arrived there for the 9.00am start. We got there, and nothing was ready for us to start ratting, so we had to unbolt the sides off the chicken sheds and also drop the rooves, so they could be pulled away from the main shed. we pulled the sides away , lifted the sides of the shed, and got the machine attached to the sheds so we could pull them off. so then we moved over to the other 2 sheds and got them ready so we could pull the sides off those, and started ratting from the outside and then lifted the floor on the inside so we could get the chicken faeces away from the skids, so the sheds would slide as they were having trouble trying to move the first shed. So we did what we could and killed a hundred plus rats. then we went back to the first shed and got inside and dug and ratted around the skids to free it up so we could move it more easily. once we dug and killed the rats the dogs were working well but the problem we had was that there were to many catch dogs and not enough marker dogs to mark and bolt the rats. So once we had cleared the skids of the shed we then moved it alot easier with two ex-army winch lorries. after doing that the rats just came from everywhere !! the rats chased the shed down and across the field and the dogs were working extremely well. The farmer heaped the faeces up with a tellyhandler and the rats were bolting. the problem we came across was that as it was the farmers first year of farming chickens, he had set himself a goal , of moving all three sheds in one day , which was hard for us as we wanted to clear all the rats , but as we were fighting time we were not getting all the rats as he was suffocating the rats due to heaping the faeces with a bucket which was too big. the rats were digging out more or less by the time we had left after finishing off the other two sheds. we moved back to the second shed and pulled it straightaway, and as the others pulled the sheds we all started to dig up the faeces with spades and the rats all started to bolt. The farmer then again came in with the machine piling up all the faeces and listened to us abit more and sprinkled it with the forks on the tellyhandler instead of just a bucket. But as they were in a rush the farm hand just came with the bucket and piled it all up , and we never managed to get all the rats once again. The time was getting on and we had 15 minutes to get the other shed ready to move. By this time a few had left as it was 6.30pm. so it was all hands on deck getting it ready to pull. we pulled the sides off and immediately as the faeces was dry it made it much easier to pull the shed with the two ex-army machines. By the time we had started to move the sheds it was already getting dark and as we pulled the sheds the ground erupted ! rats were bolting everywhich way !! the dogs went into overdrive ! we had the machinery, carlights, and our lamps out so we could see what we were doing. in the end of it , the dogs were everywhere and as it was dark it was not an easy task trying to catch them , and also the farmer wanted to get done as it had been a long day for all, so he went through the pile of faeces with the forks on the tellyhandler machine. with one of the blokes stood beside him watching as an extra pair of eyes for the safety of the dogs and us. Once the faeces had been piled up , we went back and the odd people with lamps had over 50 rats which had escaped in the long grass. it was a good day had by all, we only counted the total of the first shed at 672 rats but we easily had that out of the last shed on its own without shed 2 count as well. So we are estimating roughly 1300 rats in total. sorry there is no pic's cant up lode them for sum reson!
