cameroncharles 2
Went out last night 18.30hr till 2030. Was thoroughly put off my shot when across the field I could see a PC. He was obviously looking for someone. Assumed it was me so got out from under camo net and jogged over to see what was up. As I arrived the landowner also appeared. Explained air rifle etc, details took and everyone happy. Showed written permission and car reg so future problems ironed out. As we can see, someone with serious eagle eyes must have seen my setting up from the dual carriageway. The funny thing was it was reported that the man with rifle, scope etc in field also had a aerial (clansman) sticking out of bergen. Had to laugh at the old metal rods used for quick net setup. I guess I'm sharing this chuckle with you to try a persuade those folks out there to always carry their permission and let the good landowner know before you get out on his land! Great new spot though.kg of me dogs favourite cooking right now! Quote Link to post
Phantom 631
:11: I only have one permission where I have to let the LO know I'm there. Local bobbies know who I am and where I will be shooting. When at the cemetery I usually put a sign on the gates that lets people know I'm there. ArchieHood 3,692
I quite often just turn up, leaving my van in a certain place. Saves bothering the owners at different times of the day. Quote Link to post
