BLIND FERRET

me brother keept one of his kits cos me mum wanted it as a pet it was the runt half the size of the rest of the kits it wll sit on my mums lap for hours not moveing it dosent look round just stays still me mum thinks it blind becouse we'v had ferret all are life but never had one like this has any one else ever had a blind ferret

i have had several blind ferrets & they still get about ok i found .. how olds this kit

 

its about 8'9 weeks its in with two older jills one is her mum it gets about in the hutch and it can find its food ok

if its finding its way to the food etc & isnt ill i wouldnt worry to much .. have you tried playing with it in the house on the floor

 

yes me mums bin trying to make it chase toys in the liveing room but it just dont move

Try gently rolling it on its back with your hand .. just rub its tummy

what they generally start to do is mouth your hand .. this kind of thing

Sometimes they take a few days to start to play .. its easy when they have loads of other kits to race about with .. but not all adult ferrets will play .. so maybe engaging the kit in play will encourage it to mmove about a bit more
