Gortex type pants for beating terrier woek

Recommended Posts

if you can get yourself a pair of Dutch Army gortex trousers mate, their spot on,you'll not get wet with them on mate,i wade through shallow burns/rivers,with just boots and trousers ( no gaters ) and you'll not get soaked,so try and get a pair, you'll thank me for it. Cheers

 I will second that. Twenty quid well spent. No re-enforced knees but they are tough, waterproof and take some hammer.

Musto country over trousers are the best ones by far IMO mine are on at least 5 days a week in winter. Had my last pair three seasons and only just bought a second pair and to be honest the old pair probably have one good season left in them.

I have found them much better than any other waterproofs i have had and i've tried most of them. Used to use the ex army bib and braces and would go through a couple of pairs most seasons same with deerhunter combat type pants. They are sold as an over trouser but i never have anything on under them and have never been cold in them even this last season beating in 4ft snow drifts. But make sure you get the country ones and not the clay shooting ones.

Craghoppers autumn/winter mountain pants not sure of material or what the style name is, but you won't get better for under a hundred notes  I've worn mine for 4years up and down mountains in all conditions, plus through the heavy stuff when out and about with the dogs and guns

Shroom

PS I've looked but can't find them online mine were £70 from a shop in Keswick,so they'd probably be £40 if you could find them online
