Very nice bit of kit, Im in love with it myself

Might even sell the cannon to get one

 

Although they say its a hunter, there is no moderator made for it, so would need barrel threading to take one.

 

About 450 shot's per fill I think....is that enough mate

Another thing, I think you need to remove the cylender to re charge it, but with 450 shot's no biggy.

Its a shame that Airarms don't bring out a buddy bottle Pre Charge! I like their rifles includeing the springers just a shame the pre-charge guns don't hold many shots per charge...

 

I'm doing my nut here at the moment working on the caravan water pump! it worked perfect when it was stood up in storage, since then I have noticed a fair few mouse droppings al over the place so I'm thinking they have chewed a few wires, I think there's definitly a short there as it just keep blowing fuse after fuse but finding it is a nightmare.....

What a nightmare re the pump.

 

It may be easier and quicker to re wire it yourself from the switch, dont use the old circuit!!

Feed new wire round via an inline fuse?

Then its perfect for what we need then

 

I mean how many of our quarry aint Field Targets apart from the ones I shoot in the Cemy, they are CT's and the ones that get shot in the garden, they are GT's

 

My S200 was originally designed for paper punching, but they stuck on a scope instead of Dioptre sights, increased the power from 5-6ft/lbs to 11 ft/lbs and hey presto its a superb hunter

 

Come to think of it, didn't the HW100 start off like that as well (I could be wrong there of course)

 

Metal, paper or bone they all go down the same when the lead hits the spot

 

Must admit though at that price I would be very reluctant to take it out of its case and charge it up, just incase I scratched the filling port :laugh:

Granted its not everyones cup of Java but after fondling one the other day and reading the specs I'm seriously in lurrrrrve

 

 

In my hands it felt lovely, fitted like a glove.

Shouldered it and looked through the LaserKing scope that had been shoved on it and someone outside the shop decided to stick they're face up at the window.

Should have seen the look on his face when he realised he was looking down the supressor as I was driving the bolt home Needless to say it wasn't loaded, but I gave him such a scowl for ruining my sight pic of the city centre ferral with the manky knotted foot!

 

I'd sell all my guns to pay for it

Been checking out the steyr on the net and youtube over the last couple of days, Its hard to find a good field test/review on the rifle? apart from the odd numpty who don't seem to know what they are doing it seems a seriouse peice of kit...

 

I must admit I love a bit of wood on my guns but I could suffer in silence with this gun, at the end of the day I want a gun that bangs out a good few hundred shots on one charge, one thats not too heavy and reliable. I must say this thing ticks a whole lot of boxes for me.....

 

would love to talk to someone who has one of these or read a good review and test? I wish I never saw it now as I now keep reading up on them and want one, Its all your fault Bill! You'll have to explain yourself to my missus if I go out and get one ....

 

Just out of interest what do they mean when they talk in Jouls? seen this come up alot on this rifle on foreign sites.....

eh up jasper, i think joules are the metric version of foot pounds but dont ask me how to convert 1 to the other cos i dunno!!

 

if youre after summat with a high shot count have you considered a rapid mate? not a bad balance or weight but evil accurate in the right hands and fairly straightforward to strip and service at home, and both owners websites are full o' helpful fellas.

Before I picked up the last rifle I did a bit of homework on the Rapids, Daystate's and the BSA guns. a pal of mine a good few years ago had a Rapid 17 with a Gary Kane stock which was a cracking gun but I fancied somthing different and went for a .177 Daystate Air Ranger. Don't get me wrong this gun its pretty lethal giving me a good 250 shots no problem but when shooting freehand pointing up trees it weighs a ton over 10lb;.......

 

I can't complain Wurz as the gun is still dropping a good few Pigeons for me and keeping the freezer topped up but I now probably fancy a change, the Steyr looks a bit special to me.....

i cant fault that steyre meself to be honest mate, its out of my price range though, specially after only a week of owning das kraut (zini's old hw100kt)... cant see me EVER wanting to change das kraut but if i did the steyre's defo near the top of the dream rifle list. the specs look amazing too, i reckon it'd be the ultimate static hunting gun with a bipod slung under it, and you could set up for a month with that shot count, just take plenty of veggies with you and eat your kills as you went, it'd be great

I must admit Wurz I would normaly eat all the pigeons I shoot but this time of the year they're all fed to the birds and youngsters, they're a good Natural diet for Peregrine chicks, the quirrels I shoot go to the Goshawks........

 

I'm a bit partial to roast pigeon mate normaly, deep down I'm gutted quartering them up for the birds......

I like the gun, and I'm not usually a fan of military styled style rifles. I usually prefer a hunting rifle to look like a hunting rifle, but I think I'd make an exception for that one...
