bedlington grey vs bedlington whippet

which do you prefer. i have a beddy whippet greyhound pup. i am going to get another one but i dont know which cross to get.

i have both crosses with a little bit thrown in. I am going to sit back on this one and see what happens. recipe for an argument or two..

 

IF used correctly they can be used for totally different things, or both the same... all depends on the size..

The first cross whippet beddys i have seen work were just a shade to small.

i would opt for the greyhound blooded dog

On face value I'd say you should be able to run a wider range of quarry using beddy x grey, it should again on face value be a physicaly more robust than the whippet x, but likesy that is only face value , cos as we well know individual dogs bought on right as pups, entered right, good mindset will hit all the notes regardless of what x it is

 

I personaly went with the first x to grey as I felt it would be of more use on the land I run which is far from flat grass fields, that said there is many a first x to whippet that would best my dog on that or any other type land, so really there is no answer to the question it's down to the individual to make a choice and chuck there best into the pup and fingers crossed they will get ther rewards

beddy grey all the way!!!! lot better and can catch rabbits just aswell but have a better go at other stuff that pops up along the way

Id say the beddy/grey....gives you the option then of richer meat on the table....but you may lose that explosive start that you,d get from the beddy/whippet...atb stabba

My mate has a Beddy/Whip thats barely 20 tts but its as game a dog as i've ever seen!Yes the grey does give a bit more height but being bigger dosen't always mean better,gamer etc.....just my oponion
