The BSE's.

Now then you airgunners, dont know about you, but it does'nt seem like a year since the young cattle were put out onto the pasture to fatten up, but believe it, your a year older, and the a new set of dumb asses are back to plague me  Here's one having a milkshake :D

And this means its the start of my new Summer campaigne to thin out the grass nibblers :D I plan to start in this corner.

In front of me is a hedgeline, its thirty two meters to the last set of posts in the pic, and the crest you can see runs away from where I'm laid. The rabbits can hop out anywere from just in front of your mod, to anywere up to 75 metes, so it pays to work out your mill dots on this piece of land ;) To the left of the pic, which you cant see, is another hedgeline, I chose this place to start because its in a corner, and I can look down both sides ;) The game plan was to knock a couple of bunnies off to feed my kits, and at the same time, work out the next best place to move onto on my next visit, sods law says most of the bigger bunnies were out of range, this time  But a quick mental note of where they were appearing from was made, so next time, they're having

it :D This is a nice peice of land to be on, its riddled with wildlife, its got it all, there's a fresh water stream that runs though it into a small pond that the cattle drink from, its very idyllic, and good for the countrymans soul. But anyway, back to the bunny whacking, it was a little slow on the end of day tally, but good on the reconnaisance front, I do this piece of land for sport mainly, the rabbits have to be kept down so they dont eat the cattle out of house and home, but its been well ferreted over the Winter, so its under control  Either way I'm shooting everything, from embryo's to geriatrics  The start of my campaigne ended like this.

As expected  But it has to start somewere, who knows how many I will bag next time, but I'll have to wait and see :)

hi ya stealthy

great write up buddy and pictures and it looks real nice there too and yeah seen a few young calfs out the other day

its nice to see but can bug you if your lying in wait for the bunnies

If they bug you, pick up a big handfull of mole hill muck, and chuck it on them, even when they run off they can still feel the soil falling off their heads, next time they see you, they will run a mile, or keep out of your way :D The little bulls drove me mad last year until some old boy told me about this, the gits :D

Know what you mean, I nodded off on at six o'clock, a rabbit ran into my mod and woke me up at eleven, and it was dark, that threw me for a couple of minutes, and I had three missed calls from my Mrs, but I must have needed the sleep :D
