Just the 10

Recommended Posts

Went straight from work to my colleagues 6 acres. it was teeming with rabbits young and old. i shot 10 just walking around the perimeter.

sorry no pictures i dont know how to do the camera to computer thing or autopsy report phantom but there were holes and blood, phantom.

a lot of young ones up to 3/4 grown but this wasnt about sport the lad is desperately trying to sort the grazing out for his horses. it has been weedkilled and topped and there isnt a lot of grass on it and the rabbits are causing chaos and thats before he re seeds.

my shooting was decidedly average and unfortunately i hit one rabbit and it got up and bolted down a bury :( . the trouble is my standing shot is crap if i havent got anything to lean against im not going to bother in future.

i thought at the start when i missed for the second time that the sights were out but leaned against a stable door and smacked a young rabbit through the head at 30 m so its just me getting over excited. after that i was a lot better. i suppose this was only my 3rd trip out with the gun and i havent had time recently to practise.and i havent go th the knack of milspots etc

i will have to go to this spot every week for awhile to get the numbers down hopefully we wont get the mass kill of myxi that we got last year.

Regards

Keith

i found using the 3 legged thumb stick worked on the prosport matey a friend of mine uses one and swears by it but any thumb stick will work yes even though its a springer there isnt alot of recoil so you can get away with it a bit buddy

Very nice :clapper:

My standing shots are crap with the S200 (and there aint any recoil with that!) But with the springer I'm pretty good. :hmm:

I've got one to autopsy tonight, I already know what it is (tapeworm cyst on the Inside leg) nah cant be arsed with it, I'm gonna use it as bait for Corvid Capping tomorrow
