Comming home with a bunny or two is a bonus for sure, but for me, just being there is reward enough ......... just wont eat tonight As you say mate........NEXT time ATB. Sweeney-Todd 208 Posted May 11, 2010 Author Report Share Posted May 11, 2010 Hard luck S.T, I had something happen like that last year on a pasture, was just about to take the shot when a fox lept over the fencing to grab the rabbit, the fox saw me, dropped the rabbit, the rabbit went one way, the fox went the other, and I just laid there gobsmacked Hiya Stealthy. Si i'd love to see young stoats playing, i think they're the most amazin mammal in britain. ive a fox as a rival up the valley, and he's almost yellow in colour, and possibly the biggest dog fox i've ever seen. dont think you can beat these encounters to be honest, even if they screw up your shooting session youre still well lucky to beout there seein em... nice read bill, grand shooting too mate all the best, wurz Edited May 11, 2010 by gurtwurz Quote Link to post

I hope you get to see them Stoat's playing one day soon buddy I used to be mesmerised watching old Jack Hargreaves on the telly, a programe called "Out Of Town" he knew and saw a thing or two, always appeared to be a gentle relaxed kind of man, who loved the countryside and his pipe.
