strange ferret

Recommended Posts

About early last month i was clearing rabbits for one of my regulars and the strangest thing happend ,i was expecting young rabbits but as its a pest control contract i went ahead ,anyway i put my best gill to ground nets ready and waited and waited then up she pops with this tiny baby rabbit and droped it next to my hand unharmed and shot back down ,i thought to myself this is strange shes come across babys loads of times on these sorts of jobs and dispatched them instantly but never done this before , then here she is again with another one totaly unharmed she put it next to the other one i couldn't belive it . so one by one she brought four up in total unharmed . i was abit taken back by her actions and decide to get some dry grass wrap them up and put them as far back down the hole as possible knowing mum would find them . now i'm not the type to do this type of thing but i figured on this ocasion id let it slip this for me was also strange . i'd like to hear if this has ever happend to anyone else ,she come into season acouple o days later that may have had something to do with it . well let me know your strange ferreting events please and thanks for reading this

I realise babys grow into big rabbits, i did change to my other gill and carry on with great effect leaving only the one bury but i,m sure i'll end up with them in my nets next time like i said it was a weird old morning i spose you had to be there i took 12 in all and she must of dispatched (judging by the screams ) alot of young ,i back filled all enterences to every bury but left the one open i'll see what happens next time
