Recommended Posts

hi evey one

i rang around for a scope to buy last week, but could not find a local shop who had one.or who was in my price range!

i rang wiltshire rob & run who were to dear!

i rang country pursuits who didnt pick up!

i rang the gun center who to be honest is hardly ever open!

as a couple of my friends on here will vouch! for

then i decided to go further a field about 20 miles which only took me about 25 minutes to get there

and it was this place

Davy I completely agree with you and your comments. As you know I have recently experienced a pretty awful experience with 'a local' gun shop and definately won't be recommending or buying from there again unless I can help it! :boxing:

Due to this I have been looking around at the local gun shops and too have drawn the conclusion that http://www.glosguncompany.co.uk/ is pretty much the best around, although I haven't yet shopped from there.

A couple of other things to mention is that they have an on-site gun smith and something I thought quite nice; they have taken the time to post vids on youtube covering various subjects like setting up night vision sopes etc.

I for one will definately be taking my business there in future. Good thread, it will be interesting on others views.

I use a family run gun shop, good service, good banter, and good prices, and any advise is solid

If you treat people with the respect that you expect yourself it certainly pays dividends in the long run :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

I was stung by decoying.co.uk once but never again

Exactly as it should be, offer a service you'd be happy to receive yourself and you shouldn't go far wrong.

As for Decoying UK ................ :censored: :censored:

Decent shops will survive the downturn, and those that don't seem to give a poo will be gone, just as they deserve.

I use BAR in Blackpool top service everytime. I've had two scopes one a BSA essential that fogged up - replaced straight away with a Hawk nighteater for an extra £20 and the Hawke night eater for some reason stopped zeroing in the elevation took it back, left the gun setup with them for two days went to pick it up...... brand new scope on it :clapper: That's a great service in my eyes plus they order the stuff I want if they don't have it in stock

They deserve it mate, they dont have a website as far as I know, all new custom is obtained by word of mouth, and if you want advise on something, they will give good advise, they're not interested in selling you something at any cost, they want you to be happy with your new purchase so you'll go back to buy something else, and they're open until 8 in the evening, 7 days a week
