shame to hear but but still... nice to have a couple in the bag?? my gunpower storm doesnt like the bisley magnums too much on accuracy, ive tried plenty of different pellets but accupells (crossman premier) are the only ones that seem to 'work'... arh well..

im off out for a bit now..... hoping for a good day :hmm:

So you beat Darryl again, :toast: you rotten sod

Two is far better than the wasted trip's like I've had recently.

Hoping that I may score a bunny or two this evening as its such a nice day, it may encourage em out a little earlier than they normally poke their heads out.

Well done Gary

Nice going there Gary mate :clapper:

I see that you have now bonded well with your Air Arms PCP.

Shame that Daryl did not get anything, but I know that his time will come soon.

I sure do miss being out shooting vermin.

Shame that the Germans have a different outlook on air rifles and hunting with them.

The corvids around where I live, including the Magpies are just so laid back and have no fear of man at all.

Every morning they squawk next to my quarter about 40 to 45 metres from my window in a big ever green tree.

The will power that it takes for me not to slip the ProSport out the balcony window and give them a FX 16 grain breakfast is massive. LOL.

I have been out now doing some target shooting though with the ProSport and I am starting to get to know her really well, and her strengths and not so many weaknesses.

I think that my shooting as improved considerable due to the ProSport.

I am trying to get a HFT club up and running in my Regiment. We have plenty of real estate to have a good course but it’s just getting people interested.

Just a thought Si :toast:

Are you on a British Army Base?

I remember my mother used to talk about being posted to various countries and that on the British Air Bases, British Law was the one to obay. But once outside the base it was the law of that country that had to be obayed.

If an airman did something naughty off base it was up to the local authorities to deal with, if it was a native or a British airman that did something naughty on the base, it was up to the Red Caps to deal with.

I'd ask around the ranks in the know, you may be able to drop the Vermin on a British base, under British Law

Like I said, just one of those rare sensible thoughts that I have now and again, now must go laydown and recover

Hi Tony buddy,

Unfortunately, I am not on the camp and I have been told that I must abide by both UK and German laws, so I cannot hunt with the rifle at all mate.

The German power limit for an air rifle is much lower than the UK power limit (about 7 FP) I think and the German see hunting with an air rifle as inhumane.

.22 calibre rim fire is the smallest calibre that they use for rabbit and hare, unfortunately my ProSport is about 308 FP short of power LOL.

It is a pain I know but rules are rules I suppose.

I’m sure that I will make up for it in July if you guys manage to plan something for me when I’m over.
