dave1372 83
Dont know it was the same show that was there last year but the food vans outnumbered the stalls last year it was crap Lol! I spoke to a mate of mine tonight and he said he went last year and it took him longer to walk from his car in the car park than to walk round the entire show . I am still going to head along...but I will lower my expectations slightly lol! Quote Link to post
events co-ordinator 353
Its not the same show this is The Scottish Gamekeepers Association show the first one they've run its only a fiver to get in and free car parking if I'm not out with hounds I'll be there. The more people that go this year the better it will be to make it an annual event.YIS Quote Link to post
Foxgun Tom 75
Its a wee bit ambiguous this one?? there was a show last year and the SGA were not involved!! This show is mainly about angling and earlier information suggested that there was a main organiser who are a company that run's mainly angling and woodwork show's!! http://www.nelton.co.uk/scottish-game-and-angling.html There's no Lurcher or Terrier show, no Gundogs no ferrets, no netmakers etc: I have the programme here in front of me!! and I'll be attending the two days on business and as a member of the SGA, It still deserve's support and interest? Its interesting to note that this event was advertised in one of Scotland's best selling national newspapers (Daily Record) last Thursday in its pets and show page, The advertisment appears in other publications and media but in the Daily Record advert "The Scottish Gamekeepers Association" logo was removed?? don't know if it was deliberate or a marketing ploy?? Tom Ps: I'll be wearing my kilt and tweeds so! pop over and say hello Edited March 3, 2010 by Foxgun Tom Quote Link to post

dave1372 83
All I can say is that if you are a shooter it is not worth the effort! Not a single shotgun or rifle in sight! If you want to see a stand telling you how to remove ticks or want to join NOBs or speak to a bloke who has some leaflets about the benefits of eating venison brilliant! There was literally two stands with shooting accessories a few stands with clothes and loads of 4x4 ATVs that most of us can't afford to buy anyway cos the wife would go fecking mental!
