Water Bottles

Recommended Posts

if the water is being changed regularly and the bottles cleaned then they shouldnt go green, for this to happen in a 24hr period is very un-usual unless the bottles are in direct/constant sunlight. as for the freezing, i dont like addetives or the wrapping of bottles so id reccomend a second set that can be kept indoors, then instead of de-icing simply rotate the bottles.atb

I use a bottle brush, or you could just leave the bottles to soak. you can use bleech (a tiny amount) or one of the cleaners that are intended for babys bottles.wichever one you opt for just ensure the bottles are well rinsed.

Same here two sets of bottles clean the used set in baby bottle cleaing fluid rinse them them swap them over

I used to use dried rice to clean mine , now I use a bottle brush.

Have the same problem with them going green tho and the cages are in a shed :hmm: Two bottles per cage change them morning and night seems to be the only way to keep them clean and stop them freezing/becoming tepid (in summer)
