Daveo 61
Right as above, I have been trying to learn how to make purse nets using a samll blue book made by arthur carter (useless as its photo copied to death) and watching vids on t'net. After 7 false starts I.E buggering up on the first line and not understanding how or why, Im now up and running. Iv done 15 across and im on row number 15 down but its taken about 4 hrs!! How long does it take a seasoned net maker to do one from start to finish? To be honest in thinking id rather just buy them in.... Quote Link to post

max abell 196
Sometimes takes me about an hour sometimes all day it depends what im doing i just pick it up and do a couple of rows when im in the mood for it there is no point in making nets if you are not enjoying it take your time and with experience you will get better and faster good luck mate if you continue to make your own nets Quote Link to post

jultaylor1972 2
It takes me an hour to make a shaped 4 foot net and ive been making them for about two years, I dont mind how long it takes me though - as long as it is perfect and it works! Good on you for learning how to do it. Quote Link to post
8shot 192
did you look at the vid on rabbiters.co.uk its the easiest one ive found it didnt take me long using the video made by aguti Quote Link to post
mick20 23
I have been making my own for quite a while now and from loading the needle to tying on the bottom ring- a 3'6" net at 16 across takes about one hour. I know a few lads that do their own and that seems about average Quote Link to post
