[bANNED TEXT] GUYS A MORE SEROUS NOTE OVER THE LAST THIRTY YEARS IVE BOLTED ALL SORTS FROM HOLES WHATS THE MOST RABBITS YOUVE BOLETD FROM AN AVERAGE WARREN I BOLTED ELEVEN FROM A 5 HOLER ME AN AN OLE PAL P DOUGLAS COULDNT BELEIVE IT , AND BOLTED SEVENTEEN FROM A BIG OLD WARREN MAYBE RTHIRTY HOLER OR MORE ,THIS WAS ON TOP CLASS GROUND AT ITS BEST , HAD FIVE IN A STOP END THIS TWO WAS GOOD GROUND, AS ALAD I PUT TWO FERRETS IN AHOLE AND CAUGHT ONE THERE WAS AMAIN OFF SHOOT FROM THE MAIN WARREN I PUT AFERRTE IN BANG SEVEN CAME OUT CAUT TWO , HAVE YOUSE BEEN LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE FUN LIKE THAT OR SPORT

2 or 3 year back i had 21 out of a tiny little warren about a dozen holes all very close together covering about 10 feet by 10 feet.

 

the daft thing was it was next to a big warren we had surounded with a long net , i took 1 jill over to it and my dog to just bolt and slip , the first rabbit bolted the dog was on its tail but it escaped through a hole in the wall, whilst the dog was goneanother 15 bolted in less than 1 miniut they were running evrywhere,

 

i ended up catching 5 out of the warren some that hit the other long net and some Tara cought, that day we had 73 in total but if i had just netted up would have neer the 90

you never put the ferrets down and woosh rabbits from every hole quick and good found some good places tucked away were you hit thirty without breaking sweat, great days and good fun , som e of youse guys that have had the pleasure must a had some days were youve stumbled on warrens especaily in woodland hiden up were its moved with the rabbits bolting i have ,

there are warrens i no of that have hardly been touched by a ferret in the borders away on the hill country , hard graft but real good , maybe ten or so miles from any sort of roads used to get an old tractor of farmer go along the cattle tracts only time it got touched was when the shepherd was out getting his sheep in or if we bolted them for field trailists for there dogs the day before then, stunk the holes out so they would have a good day on the rabbs ,had some great finds , no peg marks on holes and rabits bolt like the preverbal wind , brilliant

Had some great Sport over the years Ferreting Whin. Had the privilege to Ferret on some Good Grouse Moors over the years where you can take large numbers of Rabbits. I can remember the days when i would scratch about the local hedgebacks ALL DAY and come back with half a Dozen, ripped to shreds and p*ss wet through but, i wouldnt change any of that as it makes you appreciate a good bit of permission when you get it.

Once ferreted a Pakistani's garden, must have had at least three generations from one hole

Did a sett last year ran the longnet round it a few ferrets in and all hell broke loose rabbit flying out like popped corks it was mental 21 rabbits out of that sett. Most in a stop end 4 . Most of my ferreting is on hedges buggers that they are and the rabbits never want to play ball

Used to do a old railway running three longnets along the top and three hundred purse nets on it a full day amounted to 50 rabbits just use the shooty now theres hardly a rabbit left

As unusual amounts go a few years ago we got 6 bunnies out of a 4 holer

as unusual goes we got 17 out of two sets which we thought

were the same set got 5 at block end of 1 and as we were

lifting the nets a cat bolted and just yesterday we were

out guna do a set we done before but stunk of fox ferrets wudnt enter

Apparently,(never had it happen to me) but a ferret would make a fox bolt due to the unfamiliar smell!!??

Anyway, was going to say had 2 in 1 net few weeks ago!

Me and a mate got 32 out of a 10 hole burrow right in the middle of a nice grass paddock, we got 8 out of a stop end which is a personal best I doubt i'll beat. Bolted cats, rats, stoats, mice and shellducks too and dug to cats and hedgehogs which was a shock when you grab it thinking its a rabbit the spikey little shit
