dave1979 77 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 i have had pike on the chorley stretch of the canal on small perch like plugs!!! got some carkin lures in germany called pike twisters..they did the job too!!! avent seen them for sale over here..but they are crackers!!! neil r 1,796 Posted November 2, 2009 Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 I dont use spinners but ive had them on crankbaits like 6inch jakes ,shallow raiders and smaller jerkbaits, spring dawg type soft plastics are probably the best catcher for me though on the canals. Just take whatever colours you fancy, i tend to buy a light and a dark pattern when buying lures then buy other colours if they are good catchers. You can get some storm lures that are like them pike twisters Dave Quote Link to post

Nothing huge, just upto around the 6-7Lb mark. You can also drop your line into the Aire which runs at the side if things are a little quiet. Quote Link to post
