Countryboyo 0
Hi lads if I threw a full rabbit into my two jills how long could I leave it in with them before it would go off at this time of the year? Edited October 17, 2009 by Countryboyo Quote Link to post
JoeD 24
I leave mine in there fore 2-3 days max or as soon as it starts to look or smell like it's going off. Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
Hard to tell at this time of year, one day it's hot another it's cold, I would say generaly though 2 days would be max, I'd only leave it 24hrs max. Why not chop it in half and feed em half a day? Quote Link to post
Guest lavyheed
I quarter all mine shove them in seperate bags, freeze them, then defrost what i need. Quote Link to post
leegreen 2,250
Needs to be 5 degrees or lower to not have to worry about it. If there is no flies about I am happy to leave food in with mine. Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
If they were my jils I'd chop the rabbit in half, that way they wont be left with stale meat, or even chop it into 3 if its a big rabbit Quote Link to post
andy s410c 63
I would'nt leave whole carcase in the court for no more than 24hrs throughout autumn/winter.The flies have only started to die off the last fortnight or so up here,so still got to be careful. My 5 will leave the back legs usually so it ain't worth keeping it in the court for a extra few hours over the 24hr period.
