Phantom 631
Hey guy's Doll's and those of you that aint sure (you know who you are ) First let me appologise, as I left my phone at home so no pix this time Decided to get to the cemy before the brats left school The sun was shining, until I got there, and it began to rain Luckily it was only slight and I set up my snap ambush hide (as taught by Steve Price ) using my tent poles and my DPM Poncho I laid in wait for almost an hour awaiting my 1st victim. It was of course my favourite sniping position that gives me a good observation point around almost three quarters of the cemy. As I slowly moved my head back to the hedgerow, I saw what appeared to be a light patch contrasting with the dark green of the hedge. Slowly I moved my head down and turned the S200 in the direction and sure enough a bunny sat facing directly at me, sniffing the air like it was hypnotised The wind was blowing from my right taking my scent and the whiff of frshly squirted "Shootmore" directly toward the lil fluffy bugger. I took one look at the cotton tail and realised that it was almost spot on with my zero range and at 6x mag, it looked to be very small But PEST CONTROL is Pest Control and its my job to exterminate as many of them as possible and reduce or prevent the damage that these little ones will cause. My trigger finger made its way out from the glove and took up the first stage. Bunny decided to hop to my right and thus giving me a nice clear profile view. I settled the crosshair just behind the bunnies right eye and let the pad of my trigger finger gently squeeze off the second stage. Phutt, and the bunny just sat there  looks like I missed Hang on a second if I'd have missed, surely the fluffy bugger would have given it legs and vanished I kept my eye at the scope and a bright red spot of blood appeared exactly where the crosshair was. But this very young wanna be delinquent just stayed still. I couldn't believe it . My eye remained at the scope for another few seconds, wondering 'did I or did I not just put a chunk of lead inside that spot of blood?" After what seemed like an age, the bunnies head dropped forward dropping its jaw on the grass and the following second, lil bugs rolled over to its left and kicked the air with its right leg then nothing Wandering over to my target I found that the pellet had punched it way through both sides of the skull and a blob of 'white and red matter' was hanging out of the delinguents head and against the bark of the hedgerow where a small (perhaps 6 or 8mm) of bark had been removed from the trunk. The bunny was as dead as a Dodo One less flower mucher for me to deal with Oh yes, I said it was small, It was barely 7 inches from nose to tail! Gutted and skinned, I decided that the light was fading fast due to cloud and I was friggin freezing I came home and put the meat in a freezer bag and bunged it in the freezer for next weeks Cajun Roast Cotton Tail Drooooolllllllllll Phantom Quote Link to post

Phantom 631
Cheers gents, I never thought of it like that before Davy (Big Grin on my face!) Went back there yesterday evening after dark, the place was "ALIVE" with glowing eyes Made multiple (12 in all) shots and missed every one! How the ell you guy's make shots with a gun light I'll never know All shots fell short apart from one which was a very close (almost Ear Piercing) shot that made a bunny jump in the air. Its soooooooo weird actually seeing a bright dot travel towards its target at speed! Guess what? The fresh flowers on my wife's family graves had been devoured by the fluffy feckers :realmad: I guess It's gonna take me a while before I am proficiant under the lamp So being the cunning evil assasin that I am; I'm gonna get me some Carnations and a few other flowers and lay them in the general area that I saw all the bunnies last night and then set the ultrafire lamp up on them and lay up and wait for the lil' feckers to have a go then its to them One bunny freaked me out just after dark last night! I was scanning the front of the cemy with the lamp and this bunny came bounding out of the hedgerow from the old ladies place next door, and ran across the cemy, it then turned and ran straight at me got to within 10 feet of me and stopped, turned and legged it away back to the hedgerow. It was so FREAKY seeing this bunny with silver eyes comming right at me Just hope the rain holds off tomorrow Phantom Quote Link to post
bedrock 16
Its soooooooo weird actually seeing a bright dot travel towards its target at speed! I love that doesn’t the pellet seem to be travelling too slow. Its a totally different game in the dark. I would shit my self wandering around the cemetery in the dark lol. atb John Quote Link to post

stealthy1 3,964
If there's a compost heap where they pile the old flowers onto, that may be a good place to whack a couple of the flower munching little gits Quote Link to post
