Im a big fan of the collie/greyhound had them for years I cant think of a better cross than a collie/greyhound cracking dogs mate all the best with them

Whin, to add to the thred you don't have to post any pics. It was/is just a thred about old lines/strains/familys of dogs and they don't have to of come off anyone 'famous' either, just honest write up's about honest dogs.

theyre are not famous by nature juat how they have performd over the last two decades mate never set out to be famous maybe infamous lol but juat the way it went and how they have worked and performed in public mate not into to much fame you either get them stiolen or a visit form her majesties shepherds , and i no enough about them fechers mate eejits

Anyone no if c williams strain of whippet greys are still about, heard they were usefull.

 

Also the merlin an eve stuff has gota be up there as an old famous tried an tested line which must go back quite abit now, good thread.

Too right dodger M and E go back a few generations before there conception but a proper tried and tested lineage.

Blacktabs, you mentioned that old stuff you still keep a line too, Bodger's stuff, you said, would that be Bodger Quimby as that sounds like a name I remember from the past, though I might be wrong or confused?

 

Either way, it would be interesting to know more about 'em if poss.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Plummer's old stuff came down from J.Arigho's original stuff, all gypsy bred, would that be off Bodger?

Would anyone on her know of an old line of dogs that come from the Welsh/Shropshire borders. That are reputed to be tidy allrounders.

A bloke called Shropshirebull off here put a bitch up for sale about 18months back, saying it was one of these, nice old type and i've heared off others that they do exist, any more info to these dogs would be interesting, who keeps 'em going and why?
