Today`s society , what a shame .

That is an awful thing mate, a real sad reflection on today's society, you tried to help a kid into a sport that may well be his saving grace in this world, make a man of him, and that's what you get in return!! what is the world coming to?

regarding the 'verse'/'story' ref the little girl, that is excellent and one Im going to save as i have a little girl too. so thanks for that. I've read quite a few of your post's and you seem a really decent bloke, don't take it to heart, like Kay said what the feck is she allowing him on the net for unsupervised??

I would not take it to heart mate, his mum was probably just very worried at a grown man offering to take her 14 year old out somewhere. It may be best to ask any kids to first speak to there parents about going on hunting trips and if we ask the kids to give there mum or dad our email address so they can contact us before any offer is made. Sadly we do live in a sociality that is not safe any more and I know I too would be worried if someone was offering to take my kid out who was a complete stranger on the net

No in reality the woman should have been supervising the kids on line time, but alas corrie & gala bingo are probably higher up the list of priorities

Sounds like a typical Sun reading numbskull who knows feck all about the internet apart from what she reads in the papers. Probably lets her lad spend way to much time unsupervised alone on the net, because it keeps him quiet and she doesn't have to do anything with him. Typical modern British parent.

Nail on head mate, could not have put it better, atb richard

i wouldn't change your sig because of this and i can see where your coming from and agree that its sad what this world is becoming BUT as a mother i can understand her point of veiw, no mum wants her child meeting strangers of the net, i'm nervous about meeting people at my age,, i doubt your pic and profile had anything to do with it, just that while she was worrying the kid probably got frustrated with mum saying no and she had to come up with a reason...its not that she's sick in her head, more that she's being protective over her child,,

in regards to the sig and pic idea for your daughter,, its a beautiful thought, and its a pity there aren't more fathers who put their childs emotion first!! keep it up

He is exactly that Richard - top man is Craig!

I would have absolutely no hesitation in letting either my son or daughter go out for the day with him. He is very worthy of the trust, IMHO. :)

Grim.
