davyt63 1,845
Hi every one Charlie & I, AKAâ€CHAZ N DAVE†Went over to a permission last night, we haven’t been on for a while to see what was about. When we got there we both seen how long the grass was and thought oh!! Fook, But decided to stay after all. We had a quick zero session I was ok .22, but the .177 was all over the place as chaz is just getting use to it I decided to zero it for him .it must of taken a bit of a knock as it was about 90 clicks to get it zeroed again. So chaz had a go his self and found it was ok, after he adjusted the magnification. And now it was time to go hunting!! As we pulled out of one of the fields there was a bunny to my right, as I was driving it was mine! It was about 15yds away but had its head down grazing and could only clock its ears, so a little squeak and it was up! THWUCK! Just over its head and a miss. Also another 2 missed shots later the reason for the miss I have just purchased a MTC MAMBA 3-12X44 SBC RIR I have zeroed it @ 30yds but have to familiar my self with the SBR reticule & hold over/under & ½ mil dots. So I put the miss down to that, so today I am going out to get that sorted, and if your nice in your replys may have some footage later,of grouping & different pellets “He says†Any way we carried on round the field and before half an hour in to it chaz had shot 3 using .177 flavour And me none. So the pressure was on as we got ¾ ways round my chance came a bunny hugging the hedge line and about 10yds away. So this was going to be a confidence booster, lined it up cross hairs, on mil dot & half over THWACK! And it disappeared in to the long grass but the sound of lead cracking bone was a sure!! Singh that its life was over. And after finding it I was right!! So back in the car and of we go again ,the next 2 fell to the .177 and I had another 2, and a standing shot which convinced me to take more of, 31yds smack on target. And with out a doubt the best shot of the evening on the lamp!! The total tally of the visit was chaz 5 myself 4 Here is a pic And this is another pic of our trip last Friday, but didn’t get the time to tell the tale on here so just a pic for now! Would add though that chaz is excelling in his choice of cal .177 and these were all his kills. I was still getting use to me new! Scope. What I hit I couldn’t retrieve, I was to slow? Happy hunting Davy Quote Link to post
