Just flickin through a few old books and come across the books i have by mike, wonderin whether anyone else read his stuff. i also got a video he done himself yrs ago, the man is/was a great naturlist.

Agreed.One of my favorite authors and naturlists.So many great tales of wilderness living.Have you read "Moobli" the story of his alsation dog who saved his life twice and could track any animal.

Used to love reading his books, it was like if you were there with him up in them remote Scottish Highlands, him and Moobli, he used to walk for hours to get to an eagle eyrie, sit and watch them all day and then make the long trek back home to his cottage.

i read "MOOBLI" exellent read similiar to readin Darcy's "SCOOBY", obviously the 2 dogs differed in the lives they led but the trust and bond both writers had with there dogs and vice verser where similar. p.s. both books tear jerkers at the end im not affraid to admit.

I agree both very similar books indeed.I also really enjoyed the wildcat books.I found last wild place a little on the 'Airy fairy'side if you know what i mean.Still good book mind.
