discovery or navara??

My Navara has done me just fine. :D

 

they do tend to have some engine issues though. You must have got an ok one! also he said which is better for offroad, and the disco is much better offroad.

Yes mate I agree, I you look at my earlier post I conceded the disco is better off road. My Navara had never missed a beat in over two years until I had to replace the diesel pump recently which cost me £1,500..............

Still shocked at the price of that!

 

Same thing for a Discovery TD5 is around £200, much less from a breaker.

yeah what ever mate, we had one at work n it used to slip on dog shits, its gotta be the disco navaras are shit as well we got them as well, good fun for driftin round fields but thats about it

fuel pump is nearly always a cert to go on the td5 around the 100,000 mile mark to 120,000 and you could replace it yourself all you need to do is

 

cut the carpet above the fuel tank there is a hatch which screws of, 20 mins to change

I've been lucky so far then, mine has 145K up it now ............ :blink:

 

Are they a couple of hundred quid for a new pump I think?

im going to disagree there mate.......if there going to go they can do it at any time but its rare........we havnt changed many on disco's.......now td5 90's..they are a joy to change..the last one i did i lost my temper and stamped all over the new pump :icon_redface::icon_redface: .....
