Simoman 110
If its purely off road ability and nothing else then I probably opt for a disco............

samearl14 11
Discovery, defender or fourtrak. If you want a truck, go for a hilux. Navaras and warriors are no good.
Simoman 110
My Navara has done me just fine.
samearl14 11
My Navara has done me just fine. they do tend to have some engine issues though. You must have got an ok one! also he said which is better for offroad, and the disco is much better offroad. SAm

SAm Yes mate I agree, I you look at my earlier post I conceded the disco is better off road. My Navara had never missed a beat in over two years until I had to replace the diesel pump recently which cost me £1,500..............

Same thing for a Discovery TD5 is around £200, much less from a breaker.

SNAP SHOT 194
fuel pump is nearly always a cert to go on the td5 around the 100,000 mile mark to 120,000 and you could replace it yourself all you need to do is cut the carpet above the fuel tank there is a hatch which screws of, 20 mins to change
