bird 10,014
Well from day 1 i never went along with this thing of the pit bull terrier being " lovely family pets " anyway........its far too much pressure to put on an explosive and excitable breed bred for something the total opposite of being a loving family pet......but thats a completely different thing....... As for greedy fuckers selling to the wrong people......again..... true genuine pit bull owners wouldnt go to those silly fools anyway.... shit people selling shit dogs to shit people......nothing new its been happening nearly 30 years.....what have the most recent idiots done that ed reid didnt do ?.....you either sell pups for money or you dont,it will go on another 30 years as well....but i say again....genuine honest dogs dont get sold to or by idiots......and thats why the quality of dog has gone so low due to the fact that for every 100 dogs sold within the breed probably only 5 are genuine dogs between genuine people.....hopefully they will ban pit bulls forever and give 20 k fines to anyone caught in possession of one.....and enforce it !....you watch the quality gradually creep back up again after. Spot on, they were never bred as pets, thats where it went wrong. Bred to work , a dog with high prey drive, that needs[ alot of exercise] with a job to do.?

When Earl Tudor spoke of the 'White rock' dog he put the dogs success in the pit down to the fact it was raised as a family pet he considered hand raised dogs to have an advantage over kennel dogs he would also let Black jack run free over his farm and was said by other dogmen of the day that he loved his dogs like a woman...obviously reading the above todays 'experts' know more than this great old dogman ever did...in fact reading some of the above, comments i've read again and again it often occours to me some of these modern dogmen seem scared of thier charges treating them as ferocious beasts that need to be kept locked away...the main problem today is the calibre of the owner/breeder...not the dogs As for the program...i'll give it a miss

dare 1,103
A good working dog can still make a good family pet, wouldnt trust any dog 100% be it a pitbull or any other breed. From experiance though id rather trust a pitbull more with kids who might say fall on the dog or play rough than many other breeds which are perfectly legal. I think one reason that most pitbulls arent kept indoors as pets as such is some what like the stafford addiction...you get one and then something else pops up that takes your eye. Just to quote you gnasher ; As for greedy fuckers selling to the wrong people......again..... true genuine pit bull owners wouldnt go to those silly fools anyway.... Without mentioning names, i know of so called respectd dogmen who have been into dogs longer than ive been alive, and they are still blinded by money and willing to sell dogs to idiots. I agree alot of the dogs sold are most likely not good dogs BUT those idiots will only be in circles with other idiots and so their not so good dog gets bred and the quality of the dogs starts to go down hill. Then again of course your going to get the odd pup produced which is a good dog. The only problem i see with the breed like most things which end up ruind in life is, there is always someone out there willing to exploit what another man loves and lives for...all for a price. dytkos 17,917
I often wonder at what point in history did society go so badly wrongWhen i was a youngster you had to show a certain degree of responsibility to your parents before contemplation of the ownership of a pet of any kind would even be entertained We have all seen the assholes wandering around town with a dog (usually a pit bull) barking at all and sundry What a life that dog must lead, doubtless caged up for the best part of the day in a small flat and prone to all manner of psycological issues as a result. Sorry for the rant, but people like this really annoy me, and whilst i generally have no time for expose style programmes i feel that it will be interesting to see how this programme tackles both animal welfare and social degradation issues. Thanks for the heads up, i will be watching Very well said mate,in theory.........but the word your looking for is Fashion.....and when your a teenager, everything must bow to fashion !... Unfortunately the pit bull along with other breeds has become the ultimate must have kids fashion accesory. Sad but true mate, in "my day" it was Dobies and Rotties, Sad, sad, sad. Without mentioning names, i know of so called respectd dogmen who have been into dogs longer than ive been alive, and they are still blinded by money and willing to sell dogs to idiots. Think its probably best we agree we dont agree dare .....you say " so called respected dogmen ".....respect is earned its not a title given out freely to anybody with experience.....as a quick example.....michael jackson made great music.....all these years later is he respected ?.....no but some little gullible idiot somewhere probably thinks he is great because he ONCE made great music....get my drift...... Myself i cant see any reason why a normal family man with kids would want to keep a pit bull as a family pet....there are literally hundreds of breeds to choose from so why a breed that historically has not been bred as family pets.............unfortunately some learn too late that the dog doesnt know he is only supposed to be a fashion statement ! dare 1,103
I agree with you about a normal family man with kids wanting to keep a pitbull as a family pet mate, probally not the best idea also with them being illegal. Like you said lets agree to disagree, nice to have a debate anyways

Guest clash
Where was it filmed? Fcukin Soweto. Deport the owners, cull the dogs & whip the kids who gave these idiots the chance to own a dog. Whatever mixes they were. Hopefully it gives breeders an insight into the type of owner who could end up with one of their pups for sale............................... fazza123 517
I feel sorry for the dogs, all owned by pricks! Like someone said the media is a powerful thing! There will be a back lash from this!
