we have had a few hundred released over the years down here in devon by activists they started breeding 2 years ago some have been shot run over etc but there is now a healthy population of boar on dartmoor,within the next 5 years they will be firmly inplace and real wild boar at the momment some are still fairly tame

the best dog is the one you have faith in or you wont put your best in and get your best out of regardles of size or breed :whistling: my dogs range from 20" to nearly 30"they all have different strengths and weaknesses im very much a bullx man but i think if my grey/whip had a quater bull in it an threw dogs at around 22 id be a very happy man bull/grey x bull/whippet .22 perfect for me im down in dartmoor very small fields,must admit i am getting drawn to smaller dog. trouble is on this site a lot of people suffer badly with kennel blindness ,there dog or type of dog is the best and e

what if one hound flushed a fox and one lurcher took chase and killed fox in the day out for a walk on moorland is it a stright forward case and you are guilty, two people with one dog each walking were people exercise dogs every day

ive seen a couple posts on here bred that way very stocky dogs any chance of a picture mate i havent got the dogs mate, the pups are only 3 weeks old but when i get them i will put some up for you. cheers mate look forward to seeing them

me too eastern europe just buy the permit for the game you want some spieces ie bear etc only a certain amount allowed the rest is fair game in hunting season they have the best trophy stags and bucks worldwide in bulgaria. once you get the permit its like a fishing licence in this country and just go hunting within the open season .to live there its pennies

You are 100% spot on!!!! The thing that really gets me is that the sentances are compleatly unproportional to the crimes in this country. You get a larger fine for hunting hare than if you are a junkie mugging to support a habbit!!! In Edinburgh a few weeks back a 17 year old was given 200 hours comunity service for threatening someone with a knife!!! held the knife to someone and go comunity service!!! f*****g PATHETIC!!!!! We need to get rid of the ilegal imagrants, junkies and wasters and leave the country life alone. The law is a complete and utter scandal. whos voting

Anyone working lurchers should have the written permission from the landowner to hunt legal quarry, (i.e. rabbits and rats) and carry it with them when out hunting. Proof of Insurance, i.e. Countryside Alliance membership, should also be carried. A good relationship with landowners, farmers and gamekeepers must be maintained at all times. Note too that the police have wide-ranging powers to confiscate vehicles, dogs and other property if they suspect you are, or have been, illegally hunting. this is at the begining of lurcher forum does this mean that they can even take your house worst case

sorry jonny i remember you now .your the one who thought a fallow was a red deer i corrected you and you got niggled about it we have never met mate didnt you say you were 14 years old ,you must of been breeding dogs for years at that tender age this a forum about hunting and dogs, go and have a game of hide and seek or somthing unless you have somthing good to say. instead of insulting people for no apparent reason .

You may be right there. I am pleased with my pup so far but I am yet to see him tested properly. He is about 10 months old now so plenty of time for that. In Plummers book The Complete Lurcher he claims that ColliexWhippets don't breed true and thats all he had to say. Can anyone clear this up for me I just want to know a bit more about the breed. what sort of height do they make

and this does apply to fp's to and all other rights of way but not public highways i think befour i go any further i`ll look in to it propley if i had my folder from collage 1yr theve not sent it to me i could tell you now. look forward to hearing the legal answer cheers for your thoughts bull

As far as i know your not aloud to ride a push bike on a FP your only aloud whell barrows ans dogs on LEADS dogs should be kept on leads at all times ...............i know its silly but thats the law and i know were all law obiding citezens (HUNTERS) would it be any sort of defence if your dog slipped its coller,on this legal footpath and luckly ther was another walker or two who wittnessed the regretful fact that your dog did slip his coller and you did not slip him

found some ideal ground of the beaten track with legal footpaths covered with hare whilst walking one dog off the lead through the designated path what if hare went up and dog accidently coursed it and caught it would there be a defence if this occured in front of a wittness, just a thought

i think he means a theoben gas strutt it replaces the spring the added advantage apart from power is that there is little recoil and if you buy the the same calibre strutt it will be on the limit but if you have a .22 and put a 177 strutt in the ,power is about 18ft lb theoben used to do one for the hw i think its def worth doing if you need the extra poke you can mail order them out of air gunner mag

ive got a hare dog/fox hell go miles after that quarry but not intrested in rabbit at all if there is 1 mid field and sqatting he will pick them up then.but anyones near a hedge he wont bother.try get up close to 1 in middle of the field

i have a striker and a blitz had same prob with both just cut plug and fuse off and hard fix circle connecters stright to the battery it works a treat
