just bought one so hope they are good,got 2 collers and a terrier strap without the locater as i wont be using ferrets at same time.

cheers bud looking forward to it ,start work on the new kennels,and ferret house for the ferret im going to buy a 6x4 wood shed in a run of 4x12 You'll have some happy ferrets with that sort of set up.. i hope so, a very nice person on here has offered me up to look at there expectant ferret when the kits are due so hopfully she is pregnant and my set up will be ready in time

i have a whip/grey with tiny bit of collie in her background about a 1/16 she has thrown to whippet looks like a pure whippet she is very good rabbitting dog but lacks courage ,i want to put bull into her has anyone got aBULL/GREYX WHIPPET or BULL/WHIPPET around the 20-22 mark at the shoulder im down in devon and the bitch is due in very soon,i dont mind traveling pm me or post cheers BULL

Kits are bred in the spring/summer you should be able to find them cheap or free in the next couple months. Kits are generally about 8weeks + before leaving the jill. Handle them Every single day as much as possible. Be prepared to teach them not to nip as its just a ferret thing, some never outgrow it but with patience and perseverance you will have a very well handled animal. The other stuff i'll leave for the more experienced hunters in the group.. good luck with your ferrets thanks for that i will start getting my yard in order v soon , i need the kits as young as poss as i h

yes i found that just by going a couple of times ,im really looking forward to it ,starting building new kennels and space for the ferrets shed and run cant wait

As someone else said"whippet type pups like to creep under rather than over stuff".Thing is not to scare him by trying to force him over jumps.My method is a bit repetetive and might bore the pup at first but it ain't gonna scare or hurt him.Someone has already suggested laying a log on the ground but to start even a bit of 4"x2" will do .Put doggy on a lead and walk him over the obstacle.As he comes up to it say",Over"(or whatever command you favour)once only.The dog won't notice the "jump "but he will come to realise that "Over" means something will pass beneath him as he walks .BUild up,

Im only 22 brought my first lurcher back 4 months ago. you do hear a lot about that breed of dog, but i think the internet is not the time and place to bring it up. It is really hard to get into the sport and find older blokes who have been doing it years to give you a chance and go out and learn off them. end of the day we all have to start somewhere. if young lads dont carry it on the sport will die.
