Me too mate I've already started another yew wood going to keep that fairly basic then going to try find a really nice bit of yew which i think I've just found and do a ttf palmswell if i can cheers for comment

Well this is me first catty made it for me little lad. Its hawthorn I sanded it down tried him with it then thought i like the palmswell ones. So decided to go back to the hawthorn and cut another piece so i could put one on. I've also put a thumb and finger hole on it aswell to make it more comfy for him to hold. Then i thought i like the ones with buffalo horn on so thought i'd give that a go to its stinks and is a twat to get shiney went from 240 to 1200 then buffed it. I've got to give it a couple of more coats then band it ill put some more pics up when its banded and he's holding it.

Just finished sanding went from 240 to 1200 on the horn and wood just put first coat of poly on hopefully should be done tomoz

I've nearly finished my first catty which is made out of hawthorn which I've capped the forks and handle with buffalo horn. I've sanded the horn down with wet and dry im going to buy some finer wet and dry tomorrow (I've only got p600) is there anything else i need to do to polish it up. Its for my four year old lad what bands should i use?. I've bought a set of threa band gold single i was going to cut them down to his draw. can't wait to get it done been in the garage every night for an hour sometimes more this week all I've got left is to polish horn up give a final sand and polyurathan

What an idiot talk about knock someone's confidence could of put him off for good tell them next he isn't off in till you think he's ready hope it hasn't knocked his confidence tell him to keep his head on and carry on good luck tell him to reach the same kid in six month and get his revenge
