  1. Thanks for your reply Simon, I'll have a read into that later when I'm home. Unfortunately my work computer restricts access to anything gun related... ha ha. I think ideally I need to get someone who knows what there doing to take a look at it, hopefully it will be a quick fix and wont cost me to much. Only had the gun a few days and was really enjoying the results I was getting with it. I'll be delighted when that trigger is running smoothly again.
  2. Morning guys, I'm just looking for a bit of advice. A few days ago I bought a second hand HW80K, having said that the rifle is only about 6 months old. The fella I bought it off had the trigger set very light, minimal first stage movement and not much pressure needed in the second stage to get the shot off. I was enjoying the light let off until the trigger began to get lighter and lighter as I presume the trigger screw was turning more due to the vibration of the gun, on 2 occasions it became so light that the gun fired just from me releasing the safety. I then tightened t
  3. Hi guys, Just looking for a bit of advise. With regards to the buy & sell section on here, I was just wondering whats the safest way to purchase something from another member if you are unable to meet them in person? Thanks in advance Daryl
  4. Hi Roger, thanks for your reply. To be honest the permission I currently have is a bit hard work, its up and down and not been very fruitful lately. I am meeting a land owner this week and hopefully will get a permission from it. if all goes to plan, I will do a bit of exploring and see if it would be suitable for us to lay up and pick off some bunnies. It would be a pleasure to shoot with you. I'll keep you updated on how it goes. Daryl

  8. Hi guys, Just wondered if there was anyone in my area that would like to come hunting with me, I currently have 1 permission and if all goes well, will be adding two more to that soon. I live in Wokingham, Berkshire. Let me know if you live near? Thanks Daryl
  9. What caliber is it mate & did you get it new?
  10. Great to see you're now on here mate! I think our filming needs a little work... ha ha. If only I hadnt been so trigger happy and just waited an extra 2 seconds for the camera to focus, it would of been slightly better quality!! I suppose its better than nothing. Also you could of edited my girly scream at the end, thats lost me all my street cred!
  11. Thanks mate, it was a definitely a challenge... the beer can was only a little dot in my scope. Don't think i'd get anywhere near a coke bottle lid, that would be a wonder shot! Give it a go one day, you might be as suprised as I was!! ha ha Daryl
  12. Hey guys, Still feeling great from what I managed to achieve yesterday and thought i'd share it with you! The sun was shining, wind was light and it seemed the perfect day to get out in the field and have a little target shooting competition with my mate. We set up some knockdown and spinner targets at different distances from 25 to 50 yards and took turns at picking these off. After about an hour we decided to attempt to shoot beyond our comfort zones and just see how we get on. We measured out yards and placed a beer can on an upturned log so it would be elevated above the l
  13. Hello mate, The tx200 is top of my buying list! I have read numerous reviews on this rifle from many different sources and they've all been glowing reports.I recently tried one at the range and it was a real pleasure to shoot and spot on for accuracy. Check out the review centre website and read what people have said about it. Also if you look through some of the historic posts on this forum, you'll definitely come across someone who asked the same question. As soon as i can justify the cash... I'm getting one. Hope that helps. Daryl
  14. Hi guys, It seems like a lot of the members on here are from up north. I was just wondering if there's anyone from round my way near Wokingham/Reading/Bracknell/Guildford? Just be nice to get a feel of where everyone is from. Thanks Daryl

  17. Thanks for the welcome guys, I was starting to worry that I'd never get a reply.. Ha ha. Hi Simon, sounds like you a have a nice weekend lined up! Before I joined as a member I spent a lot of time reading the forums that interested me & I always enjoyed your posts, it's nice to see someone that has the same passion as me for the good old springers. I especially enjoyed your post about shooting technique & I've put that into practise out in the field. I love the challenge of mastering the art of shooting my HW95k & any tips are always welcome. Daryl
  18. First of all I'd just like to say Hello to everyone as I only joined the site yesterday. I was just wondering what shooting plans people have for the coming weekend? Me personally, I'm zeroing my Hw95k on Saturday morning as it seemed to have slipped a little bit since my last plinking session. Once thats done, im heading to my permission to do a little bit of rat busting, the farmer there is having problems with the rats getting into his straw bales and chewing through the string that holds it all together. As for Sunday, I think i'll spend a few hours in the morning shooting at targe
