  1. Oscet you seem very bitter and full of pent up aggression do you take counselling for these problems?
  2. Hey Millet your never to old to learn, but you got to be prepared to listen
  3. Some rate a dog highly which takes big bags of rabbits on the lamp, others on daytime hares, others judge a dogs standard on how it reacts when being bitten. Some rate a dog on all these variable and more. One thing for sure I would never rate a dogs ability on internet hype or a persons word I had never met.
  4. There are a lot of Pinocchio's in the lurcher world.
  5. Nail on the head weasel average dogs can and do bag big numbers of rabbits when conditioned properly They are then turned into legends via this forum
  6. Some people who frequent this forum would be better suited to PR than keeping lurchers.
  7. Chid reading threw topics on this site I seem to recall you bumming dogs up you have never seen. Can you honestly say you have not done so?
  8. I agree Gaz on the stud dog topic there is quite a few dogs being bummed up and recommended by folk who have never actually seen the dog in flesh let alone see it run. I also agree with Hot meat he was bang when saying some people think they have better than they have actually got. The Hunting Life certainly produces a lot of lurcher legends
  9. I doubt he looses much sleep thinking about peoples opinion of him. Heather seduced him and got a nice payout IMO it could not have happened to a nicer bloke. I read somewhere he starved a herd of fallow deer on his country estate, not sure if that is true or not?
  10. David am I right in thinking your dogs are line bred? I would stick to something similar to what you have already got preferably from another line bred animal from a proven line. Using a scatter bred lurcher would be a bigger gamble and increase the odds of breeding shit IMO.
  11. Thank you for your reply, I just thought it would be interesting for people to know what There antlers would be used for.
  12. Plenty road work and soak the dogs feet in warm water and potassium permanganate a few times.
  13. Getting over or under fences with a 25 litre container inside a back pack could be a little awkward.
  14. Its sad to see pups acquired on a whim then passed on with no further thought.
  15. What a good idea this is to pass the book around on good will.
  16. Could you please indulge us with the plans of this project for the antlers?
  17. My advice would be, get a pup from parents that are doing much the same work as you choose to do and don't be hasty with your decision.
  18. You seem spoilt for choice good luck with your quest.
