I own a 1998 TD5, have done for nearly 4 years now. Have had normal issues with it in that time, I had a 300Tdi and a D1 V8 before it, I'd say the TD5 is the better vehicle, easy to work on, no end of help available on forums if you join them and join in. I used to be a bit obsessed looking after mine, and have done most of the major jobs to it, none were difficult, servicing even using LR parts is under £100. Haven't touched mine for the last year, except an oil change and it went straight through the MOT this year no problems. My brother bought a really nice condition 2000 W

exactly what i told him no one will let a worker go to a pet home.i reckon hell have to go to ireland for a show one. They will if you're prepared to pay for it! This little fella came from my local free ads and cost me £350. I got one this way as I'd have been highly unlikely to (or would have wanted to) get one from Ireland, what with my efforts for Anglo / Irish relations .............. Have since found out he is bred from hard worker to hard worker, so that was a bonus. Seek and ye shall find Edited to add, that yard chain is not for the Wheaten!

Be interested to know how long it took the travellers to clean up after themselves when they were leaving Appleby .............. Surely such a clean, respectable, much misunderstood group would take every step to ensure they left the place as they found it?

Now, I have no interest in this other than that of a "long distance seller". It seems Countrymans Weekly are quite keen to contact John Hubery, there's a notice in this week's edition. There's a horror story waiting to be told by a friend of mine, a mod on here, I don't know if he will tell the story, he should do as it seems very relevant to this thread. When a trader goes "bandit" it spoils it for everyone who relies on postal sales, and that really pisses me off, I know that I am honest, but none of you do, you have to trust me, and when lads get let down why should they. I can't imagine it getting pulled, my experience is truthful as I'm sure is yours and plenty of the others, there's no reason the mods or site owner would remove truthful posts. Fancy that though, an ex policeman who tells lies .............

I did visit the shop, with a mate, who is a well respected honest member on here, the words of the shop owner did not match his later actions, I am absolutely sure he tried to get me to supply him with items he was not going to pay for.

As you know I don't use them personally (fu.ck that, it looks like hard work!!! ) But, that O ring is the only part that I can see would ever wear out, if it was used in say diving equipment then it would be a service part, that you'd clean grease and replace regularly.
