  1. With it being an older dog that has done a fair bit i think it just in them, when the lamp comes out they no what the job in hand is they are trained to chase and whether they catch or not it is instilled into them if trained to return to you, that is their only job...
  2. I don't understand this let it settle in, i'd still be a stranger after a week?? if it going to go its going to go, i strongly believe that if you show trust in a dog it will trust you and i like to think that i have a good bond with all my dogs...
  3. And i take it by merry go round you mean getting passed from pillar to post, he had this dog from 6 week old its now 3 and a half, with a really genuine reason for getting rid, and i can guarentee that this dog has a home for life with me and will be here to the end... atb
  4. Each to there own lads i'm not going to get in an argument with anyone, the sire is 'strike while the irons hot' and the dam was a dave platts bitch so should be an alrite dog hopefully..
  5. no point messing about if a dogs going to do it its going do it, it was only 20 mins thats what its here for.
  6. I can't go into detail but he's had a rough 2 years, something i wouldn't like to happen and he's working 7 days a week, i've had the dog home about 2 hours now and took it out on the lamp for half an hour and its just caught 4 out of 5 rabbits and retrieved all back to hand alive, can't fault it yet...
  7. why do you say that black 123?? pm if you like..
  8. no if it was the litter he had last year its the dam mate
  9. Well went on the 200 mile round trip today to collect new lurcher off hubbs, after i had posted in classifieds asking to buy a lurcher, i soon got a message offering me this dog for nothing as he was not in it for the money got their and what a nice genuine bloke, new the crack and what a lovely bitch he gifted me, and sold me a lightforce blitz and lithium ion battery for 50 quid, its nice to no that their is still some genuine blokes out there, cannot thank you enough and i will keep you updated... And our lass has fallen in love with it and wants to keep it in the house hahahaha..
  10. Think i'm sorted now chaps thanks atb
  11. ye ye alrite, if your really that curious that dog was a drawing dog i'm not into that anymore, she was also just bred for been thrown out of a car or jeep not fast enough on the lamp for what i needed, i had more than one dog and kept one other in the kennels, just a little pin head thing which suits my needs and i want another similar to run with her,
  12. ye a certain aspect of the game, hence no bull x
  13. Lurcher wanted, must be game,no bull x, ideally 23-24 tts must be bitch, ideally north yorkshire
  14. They appear to be very sympethetic to our cause round here..
  15. To mild, we don't have the problem with flooded earths really but there has been many times this season when out checking earths we have seen and disturbed foxes above ground, blanked when theres been a frost and dropped on when been a fairly warm day
  16. No no one got arrested, and to be fair the police are very very good when on our hunt, you may say that their not as nothing happened with them on this particular occasion but i won't go into details...
  17. Yes on our hunt a few weeks back they stumbled across the terriermen digging a fox (all within the law) outnumbered them about 10-3 and the terrierman made the mistake of putting the shovel down to get the dog out (luckily they had just broke through) and they set about him with his own shovel and made a right mess of him.
  18. Not the best locater by far but they are good enough to get the job done..
  19. It makes me laugh like you say their bothered about a fox, yet theres people going out every night running rabbits etc but obviously a rabbits life is not as much value as a fox, if you no where i'm coming from...
  20. Hope she's alrite pal, its money well spent if the dogs comes round, all you can do is do ye best for them, 'm sure she'l be fine, atb
  21. I agree, think it would do good to post addresses, they think its alrite so lets see how they like it when boots on the other foot.
  22. Because the headline 'two men shoot fox' would not grab many peoples attention
  23. Nothing on here, only praise for the terriermen, the problem is not videos like this its the newspapers and television that have to dramatise everything
